They do have hairstyles like in that core 7 poster with the odd hairstyles.
In the early pic posted last week of toola she looked bad, but this ones look scary!!

And Cheerilee looks like she's high, Sweetie belle (is the one that cooks right?) she must put somethig "extra special" in those cakes.

I agreee that they look really hard to customize, half of the hair of cheerilee is plastic.

ETA: Some one said they look like BRATZ, there is no way that these MLP look like bratz, for one bratz had small necks HUGE UNPROPORTIONAL heads, god awful lipstick with lip liner that did not match!!!! >.<

I for one think Rainbow dash is cute. Cherryliee they need to go back to the drawing board with that one.

Their eyes remind me of the power puff girls well rainbow dashes does LOL

Hey are horrible. They look like they are all tripping. I for one will not buy them... unless they fix those ugly creepy eyes. I for one do think theya re trying for more of a bratz doll effect, just like i told Jenni823. There is a quote on the Arena from someones boyfriend that summed it up perfectly. I don't see how anyone could want to buy those ponies. With those big nasty eyes. Ihtink they may be ok if the eyes were WAY different

I agree that it's the eyes that turns me off for these guys.
If you look at the basic style of G1, G2, and old G3 eyes, they're all the same: Colored "half-moon" on bottom of eye, with large black/darkblue section above it and a small iris in the middle. These guys don't stick to that style at all!

Gosh, from that angle, Rainbow Dash looks more like a pig! ig: Aren't ponies supposed to have long faces? Cheerilee looks somewhat cute with her hair like that but those eyes... .

The only way I can tolerate even looking at the newly designed ponies is by thinking that they are some new toy completely unrelated to My Little Pony... and apparently unrelated to ponies in general.

Rainbow Dash looks like she has the beak of a turtle from that angle, not too flattering. And as for little miss trippy dippy Cheerilee, her eyes aren't even looking in the same direction, sorta walleyed like a baby pug. I was really hoping they would be a bit cuter, the bodies are ok, but those faces and crazy eyes really scare me, I'm finding it kinda hard right now to even think of them as mlp's. Gosh, I really hope that those are still in the prototype stage.

It makes me think of like they are possessed by demons or something. I'd dare even say fakie pony on a really good drug trip rofl. They don't even resemble the original MLP designs. To me these are G4 simply because they don't resemble anything G3 other than the names and colors. They don't really work for the playsets in G3 or G1 for that matter.

I also feel they could be considered a whole different toyline because if I was a little kid I wouldn't think they were MLP at all seeing the hair is plastic or part plastic or not even brushable at all. The point of MLP is to collct different ponies with brushable manes and tails, WHY can't hasbro keep it normal and simple.

I'm so irritated now haha
