Hi, I’m wart, and I have a very valuable item that I would like to sell intact. Any experienced collectors have any guesses what it might be worth so I can go into the sale educated? I’ve been out of collecting for quite a while.

Before anyone panics; yes, these are the same exact pics as shown on http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Category:Baby_Fancy_Pants_Ponies they are my pictures of this exact item I am selling, if you click on them they do say donated by wart.

I don’t know if there are any intact, full, shipping cartons left in the world. I am the person who purchased this carton sealed, and I am the person who unsealed it. Inside are twelve mint in near mint package playtime baby ponies. Two of each. All four of the girl ponies are UK variants of their counterpart fancy pants baby ponies.

I will be providing many many many more detailed pics before the actual sale, pictures of every pony in the box, but below are only two to show condition for valuation purposes.

The packages are gorgeous, they’re glossy and clean, but they aren’t *mint*, there is a little light warping as you can see in the photo, and all the tape on the packages is yellowed with age. That’s the extent of any damage on any of them. I have not displayed them, they have stayed in the carton.

I’m going to slow roll this sale, so you probably have some time if you’re interested. I’ll put up a sale post once I start taking offers; this is not the sale post, this is to get an idea what it might be worth in the current market.

Definitely complete and I’m hoping to find a buyer that will keep it complete, of course that will be up to the buyer ‍

❤️ Thanks everyone! I’ve loved having this item in my collection but the time has come to find another guardian for it.

'I made an "uh oh" and I'm sorry @wart and everyone else!!
Did my best with the confines of the programming to fix it! :poop: I'm just going to go back to my post-op bed and hide under the covers again now.
What?! MODS are human?! How can this be? *faints*

<feel better soon @Skybreeze you’re more fun as a human>

We’re just human adjacent. ;)

@wart I should’ve responded earlier too but got distracted by many things. I agree with @Gingerbread and would base this as a lot value of $2,500-3,000usd. This is simply based on giving each MIB set an approximate value of about $200usd each. Obviously some sell better than others and would gain a higher value but over all as a set I would say you’d be safe at starting at $2,500usd then take the best offer from there. :)

IF you were to ever separate the sales, I’d be interested in the boys. Can’t blame a girl for dreaming. ;p

Wow!! Congratulations what an awesome set to have in the crate too!

such a unique situation… I can’t even fathom what it would be priced. I know it’s a cardboard box but I think it’s very beautiful

I agree with @Gingerbread's assessment. MIP prices have skyrocketed in recent years, since the auctions from the infamous "storage unit discovery." These look like they're in fab condition compared to others I've seen on eBay recently. I think it would be great for the buyer to keep them together too.

Wow. That’s a beautiful little piece of history. Sorry I can’t help on pricing as I am an oob collector.

It’s an original cardboard shipping box full of two sets of mib fancy pants baby ponies -

Neither can I! o_O Theyre so beautiful!! I would have thought I died and went to heaven if I had seen that full box in person.

Storage unit discovery? Have I missed something cool in years past? :surprisepony:

Yep,

G1 - Huge MLP Storage Find!

Have you guys seen this youtube video of MIB/MOC G1s?! I'm hyperventilating looking at what's on those shelves!

I was a weirdo and followed all their auctions on ebay. I copied all the pics so I'd have my own MIB references and I made a spreadsheet of the MIB sales, it totaled up to a bit over 100,000. I myself bought one of their MIB playsets cause I felt like I had to say I got something from the find. Can you imagine finding that!!!
Im kind of glad I missed it, I dont think I would have survived seeing such a thing! Im glad you got something! Sad i missed it but also.. again, I would have probably passed out before I could buy anything lol!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 2000.00-3000.00?? Anyone with more MIB experience feel free to chime in. I could be totally off, I'm just thinking about the cost per MIB but then it's hard to say cause the novelty of having a carton could be good or bad depending on the collectors point of view. I think it's awesome cause I've never seen a MIB carton like that but then does a collector want to spend that kinda money for multiples of the same pony?? But I think it should go all together, it could be the last case in pony history, seems worth preserving.

Thanks everyone for your input.

So yes, I’m definitely keeping it whole and selling it as one piece.

I think I’m going to do it auction style because I feel like that’s my best chance of finding someone who values it as a single piece who might keep it intact.

I’m not sure if ebay is the right place for it, I’ve contacted a live auction website and I haven’t heard back, if anyone has any suggestions as to a live auction house that might take it lmk, I’ve never done this before. Is there a way to do it auction style here? How might that work? Anybody who’s moved a pony piece with this value before, how did you do it?

Wherever I do go with it, it’s probably going to be up and going by August 1.

Ahhh! I dont know but you've got money on ur hands! :surprisepony: (TONS OF MONEY) I wish you luck on finding a price but i'd try to maybe do a auction in a group maybe.

*jaw drops* Not only do I remember you, @wart, but I am going to be INSANELY jealous of your newfound wealth! :winkpony: Half of me wants to offer you $$$ right now, the other half is saying, "you don't collect MIB, and NO, you need the money!"

What an amazing sight!! . . . The fact that this is a UK set might drive the price up too. Two baby boy ponies, always popular, and most of the Fancy Pants girls are slightly different from their US releases (like Baby Splashes having pink hair, etc.)
