I know what you mean. I've gotta work hard as well. I can think of some excellent stuff in my mind that's right up there with the great works of woosie, popgirl, princesslily and many others. I just lack in my artistic abilities to make them happen. But I still try. I'm best at converting a work into a pony custom instead of trying to create it from scratch. Making SM characters into ponies is a good thing for me. Making one from scratch, i'm in trouble. hehe. But it's all fun giving it a try.
 
I definitely know that feeling! I already have these awsome ideas in my head and I know how everything should go but my hands don't seem to want to work the way my brain does >__< your work is awsome though SL!
 
I would like to join, but I am just to busy. :frown:

Will there be a chance of a round three? If so I might join that if it is during the summer time....I needs a Black Lady or Sailor Saturn custom. XD
 
Yes, don't worry, there will be a round 3. It seems like many are currently getting too busy so I will aim to have a round 3. If I get enough interest for it over the summertime, we may start this one in June. I just have to be sure that everyone ships out as early as possible for this round and that all get delivered. I don't want to get a backlog on myself of replacement customs if they are needed. Which I really hope they aren't.
 
I am all for round three being in the summertime! I will have more free time then because my college will be on summer break.

I hope that this round goes well and there will not be a need for replacement customs, which seems to happen a lot over at the arena. =/
 
Ouch. I hope no one backs out. I wont. I order some stuff already to atleast get one going. just waiting for the supplies.

I participated in a candy swap and then a custom swap on a board that cannot be named. I sent my end out in the custom swap but never receive anything in return. Then I was in the Nirvana Adult to Baby swap over at the Arena just recently.

- Are you aware that once you sign up and partners are handed out you are committed to this? Please don't sign up and then bail. That's just wrong.

Having had it happen to me in one of my very first swaps, I'd never do it to someone else.

- When you ship out, will you be using a box or bubble mailer? A box with packing materials is strongly suggested.

Boxes are a must.

- Are you famailiar of where to get supplies such as hair, sculply, apoxie scuplt, etc.? (hint: see above :wink:) Also are you famailiar with their shipping times if you do have to order supplies?

I order from dollyhair/custompony all the time, and I've got a Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Triangle within driving distance.

- Are you famailiar where to find sailor moon stuff such as images, etc. to use as a guide?

I believe my giant collection will suffice. LOL :)

I prefer to work with G3's for their abundance, and would prefer to get a G3 also.

You are more than welcome to join us. I'm debating about wrapping up the signups this weekend and getting things rolling a few days earlier since sign ups have now settled down.

Do it! I'm in SUCH a customizing mood! I've been working on a few projects of my own, but I'm all antsy about the swaps I signed up for!

oh nice. I just hope my stuff comes in ontime. I ordered stuff from dollyhair.com and on my paypal it shows it hasnt been sent yet. so I dont think she sent it. ugh, Wont buy from her again. and when it finally shows up. I am going to email her and tell her I wont either. maybe I'll try the other site to get hair.
 
Nah, with me closing sign ups, it will give everyone extra time to work on their customs. The deadline will remain the same.

As for dollyhair.com, it's much faster than custompony.com most of the time. Custompony can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to get hair. Dollyhair is much faster and she normally takes about 2-4 weeks. She has hired on an assistant from what I've heard to help her complete orders. She may of had something come up in her personal life that may be causing the delay. Remember, she's just a person and not some big business like it would be if we ordered from like Target.com or something. ;) She's very reliable.
 
I have a question! from Dollyhair is one RD hank of saran enough to re-hair a g3? for my custom I am just wanting to order early so that I won't be late!
 
dolly hair, I normally order from the pony side of hair anyways. One hank of hair is enough to do up to 2 g3's. The hair is very long. Remember my Mistress 9 from last round? Well her hair was uncut and I did the fold in half rehair method for her. So you see how long it is. You have enough hair to do up to 2 g3's depending on how many plug holes and the thickness of the tail. Normally on my character customs, I skip the tail part and just do the mane.
 
so, I got my tool in and I am almost finished one custom! lol... well hopefully whoever I get wants the custom I am doing... lol. eh, its ok. Im liking it... so who knows it may join the rest of my ponies! hehehehe....
 
Well tonight I'm going to make it the end of sign ups. By in the morning, I'm going to close sign ups and work on matching everyone up.

I first focus on where you guys are willing to ship to, then I focus in on matching by skill levels. Please those of you who have already signed up, please send me a pm with your mailing address on it.

Sign ups are now closed everyone! If you would like to participate in Round 3 this summer, please post that you are interested. When I'm posting Round 3 I'll go through and message everyone who expressed interest.

I think I would be interested in participating this summer. Wish I could have done round 2 but I just do not have the time this semester.
