Summer Photo Hunt Chatter Thread

Thanks @Skybreeze ! Sometimes the poster was visible, sometimes not, I have no idea what the problem was. I copied the image location on the website and inserted it here.

Gah... I don't know if I'll be able to participate in this after all.. The concept is kinda so-so to me and I can't think of a lot of movies to replicate the poster of... :(

You could pick something at random that looks easy to replicate, that's what I did.

Just finished my photoshoot and posted the picture! :3 This was fun! .... and I can just never seem to do something simple. (lol) I found out just how much water one of those tubs can hold. :surprisepony:

(when I realized I had both the Tenderheart (bear) and Bright Heart (raccoon) figures, I knew I just HAD to use them for this shoot :lolpony: )

I just googled summer movie poster and went with the easy looking thing.
I don't want to just phone this in, especially after not being able to do well in the lightning round.. I wanted to pick something it would be fun to replicate, something that would inspire me.. I did finally manage to find something

oh my goodness loving the pony posters "coming to life" :) amazing work guys

and I can't believe I didn't notice I printed up my sign using alternate yellow so I just changed my poster ( hoof face moment) geez...

I couldn't think of any summer movies off the top of my head so I googled "summer movie poster" and picked the first one that struck inspiration. Seeing movies that others have picked, I'm just like "Oh, duh, that movie also exists." At least I had an excuse to use the perler bead picture of Starshine's symbol that I made a couple years ago.

agree that it was really helpful to have "the google" be like a memory jog for summer movie ideas...

glad my photoshoot is done (with last minute help from Michaels since I totally did not see the tree in the background when I was doing my test shots... geez)

now onto cropping and then uploading to good ol' photobucket and then I will share some of my "behind the scenes photos. I am proud of my use of tinfoil to make his outfit

can't believe I missed seeing how much for green there was compared to the poster. Thank goodness for a close-by Michaels ...

gotta love how I had to jury-rig the whole "stage"

Just got mine posted! I hope it’s ok that I have some non pony actors joining in? I didn’t have any time to prep for this one so I got it all done today but I’m pretty happy with it! Especially King Kazma (the bunny in front with goggles if you don’t know the movie) lol I made his ears out of Barbie tights and q-tips XD but they look nice. Oh and I had to borrow a tiny cowboy hat from my brother’s woody but don’t tell him haha

Oh and @maycrestmom I love the way you set up your stage :lolpony: I did something similar with some stacked boxes holding up my backdrop

Thanks! :satisfied: It was my favorite of the summer themed movies I thought of to do but I almost didn’t pick it cause of how many different characters there are on the poster!
