I had so much fun at the show in Pittsburgh last weekend! I went by myself, as my kiddo who came with me to the MD show is *gasp* 18 now, living with her boyfriend and gainfully employed - and she does not have time to hunt ponies with me anymore. :sadpony:

Going alone to a pony show when you don't expect you'll know anyone in person at all is kind of a long sad drive. It took me 2 hours to get there because these are my stomping grounds, so the plan was to go ahead and stop for gas on the way and pick up the food I was bringing on the way....and then I may have stopped at a community-wide yard sale for an hour just to see if I could find any ponies in the wild. (Spoiler: I did not.) But when I got there everything was just amazing. All the people were nice. All the games were fun. All the vendors had amazing selections, so that it was terribly difficult to choose. The prize tables were out of this world. (I bought WAY too many tickets. Sorry again about that, those who were there. It got to where I felt guilty.) Even the free table was full of nice stuff. I hope those kiddos got to take home all of it to play with.

I found quite a few ponies I've been hoping to add to my collection for a long time, which was really exciting! And we colored and painted little flocked unicorns, and played a cool mystery gift type game that turned out to be so fun that I will do that for our family Christmas party this year instead of a normal White Elephant exchange.

From the prize table, I won all kinds of pony stationary that I haven't been able to get from my local Five Below, a gorgeous baby HQG1C, a pair of earrings, and an adorable copy of Spike and the Magic Shoes which I literally almost cried reading the first time because I SWEAR I had that little book as a child and it just brought back all kinds of happy feelings for me to read that story.

And at the very end, I rescued that poor tail-less poppel, who is all cleaned up now. I'm going to fix her chewed ears up with embroidery thread, and get her a new tail soon, but for now she is mark-free and smells great!

Wow, what a great haul! The show sounds like it was a blast.

What a fun haul! It's great that you were able to enjoy yourself even going alone.

I'm so glad you made it to the meet, it was so nice to meet you!!!!! (I was the one in the yellow dress!) I wish we'd gotten to sitting down and chatting earlier in the day, LOL!

So cool, thanks for sharing the story!
