WHAT THE ???!!!!? ...(ebay)AGAIN MORE CANCELLATIONS!

There's a reason why I don't use eBay anymore. Actually, that;'s not true. There are a lot of reasons. The last time I was scanning and bidding for a particular pony became just a huge hassle. I wanted a mail order verson of a sparkle pony. Wanted this pony for YEARS, and finally decided to go ahead and buy her. First auction I lost the bidding war. Snipe. Not a big deal, there were 3 others in auctions to be found. Put bid on another. I won, but since it was a reserve auction and the seller didn't get what she wanted for it, she just told me tough luck, and relisted. Fine. Whatever. I hate bidding on reserves for just that reason. Third one... cancelled my bid. Didn't like my eBay username... *eyes narrow* Fine. Two weeks later and won another auction where someone was all too happy to take my Paypal bucks, finally got one, but I've been avoiding eBay pretty much ever since.

There is nothing worse. And if ebay themselves yank it for violations then it won't show up at all, you search by that item number and nothing will come up, and is disappears from your My eBay page. If the seller yanks it themselves then it will still be there...

I think ebay does restrict sellers who cancel too many open auctions in a month. The odd one now and then (dog chewed it etc) could happen to anyone, but repeat offenders should not be tolerated.

Have their been any policy changes lately? I know here in Australia our item conditions have been changed and they are now compulsary (before they were optional). I dont think exisiting auctions are affected, but new ones can't be listed without one. Any that need relisting must be amended before they are relisted or they won't be allowed to list. But it doesn't sound like that is the casein a few of these!

If they are new sellers then perhaps they don't realises that prices can stay low for all but the last few minutes of an auction - then skyrocket!

But I really get cheesed off when auctions have "I reserve the right to end early as advertised elsewhere". If you are trying multiple selling platforms at one, then do it as a BIN with your asking price - not an auction!
