What was your *ultimate* pony splurge for yourself?!?

Most I ever spent for a single pony awas $125 US for a custom pony about 5 years ago. He is in Chief's pose, all white, black/white/silver hair and has intricatedly painted realistic zebras on his sides. I couldn't pass him up.

The next I would say would be my mountain boys. I splurged until I got them all.
 
Lets see.... My splurge was spending almost $80 on the G3 Rainbow Crystal Castle that was complete with the Walmart exclusive gals (minty OMG!), and the dinning set & bedroom set. I was really proud of that purchase. Then my husband splurged on the G1 Fancy Mermaid Pony: Baby Sea Princess for $22. :3 He had a serious impulse buy after seeing her true worth (he hopes I decide to stop collecting in 10 years or so to make money back, lol). He doesn't like spending over $2 on any pony. XD

I've had quite a few splurges.

I started my Mountain Boy addiction last Christmas with Ice Crystal and then just had to get the rest of them. I was very lucky and managed to complete the set for fair prices and with very little hassle.

I've bought two playsets that I loved dearly as a child -- Lullaby Nursery and Dream Castle. The prices were moderate, but the space was a worrying thought all the same. My bedroom is starting to look like Ponyland ^__^

I finished my TAF's, glitter ponies, Glow and Shows, Newborn Twins, Newborns, Tropical ponies, Big Brothers, first gen princesses and Wingers.

I'm actually hoping that next year won't be quite as costly when it comes to ponies. I'm really happy with my collection as it is and doubt there'll be any major demands on my want list.

Though I would like a Nightlight and a NBBE baby Lofty... :D

I dug around and found his original pictures from the customizer. :) I collect customs and found him irresistable. I also noticed this was to be about splurges for ponies in the last year. Whoops.

Well....to be honest it was going to the fair in Providence, RI. I bought more G1's in one day than I ever have. Next time the fair is in Rhode Island I plan on getting a Mountain Boy Tornado with faded hair and perhaps if I see something else like a PJ plush or something. Something I can't get in the US cheap.
 
Oh wow he is one of the most stunning customs I've seen! The artwork on his sides is inceidible and so realistic :D
