What was your *ultimate* pony splurge for yourself?!?

Mine was about a month ago--I bought the G3 Ponyville (regular ponies--not small) Tea Party--its is a bookbag with four ponies in clothes and a tea set. It cost $40.00 on Ebay and was MIB. But that's like $10 per pony which isn't too bad. It now hangs on my wall and I'm glad I bought it even though it was expensive.

Oh--and I paid $30 for Baby Northern Light MIB. It was too much for her, but she is the only single baby pony I didn't have and I need her to go with Winter Ice.
 
Oh well... I've spent *a lot* this year, but I think they've all been good deals still...

I got Brazil Bowtie in a lot with 3 other Brazilians for around $300, and I sold 2 of those other Brazilians so it was a good deal...

And then I got Rapunzel too... for $200, which is a good deal for her, I think.

Ooh Argie Novia was another good one! I got her from SS for $102, and she's awesome! I love her.
 
I love reading this type of stuff- makes me feel better about my own splurges, and it's interesting!

For some reason I'm having a hard time thinking of my pony splurges. Let's see... I know the BIGGEST single pony-splurge I've spent was the 2007 pony fair, including tickets, gas, hotel, and all the ponies and meals I bought while there.

But I'll choose another thing to keep this theme going... let's see... I can't remember how much I spent, but my Hasbro Softie Honeycomb plush was pretty high up there, as was my MOC Merry-go-Round Sparkler. I also spent quite a bit on Dream Castle with all parts, and the G2 Magic Rainbow Forest playset.
 
my biggest splurge is my persona custom from Darkhorse....sadly I havent seen pics of her yet and she hasnt been shipped (its been along 6 months waiting to see her :hide:)
 
My biggest splurge was PonyCon, I spent over £80!

Individually I got Loolita's custom Demile (£55), and although I only paid £16 for my Paradise Estate and Lullabye Nursery together, because of the space they take up that seems pretty splurge-y and indulgent!
 
I know I already answered this thread but I'm so glad this was started. It makes us feel less guilty about our spending when we see what others have spent!

I love Argie Novia too and I'm pretty sure I remember SS's auction (I was trying not to look too much though because I wasn't buying at the time and there was so much to tempt me :p )

and i hope to never spend this much on a pony EVER again!!!!
im not telling who it was tho... you will have to wait till she arrives and i can post a proper brag-o-rama :nanana::laugh:
 
Two words for Relceleste: Pins and needles. (As in , "I'm on pins and needles!" I cannot wait to find out who this mystery pony is!
 
I actually have not bought a pony for myself at all this year. stupid economy!
However, I did do a trade with someone on the arena for a MOC Italy bowtie on a german card for one of my customs.

That was pretty exiting for me! LOL

My biggest this year was a MIB Princess pony from italy, i'm crazy for everything italian packaged, and she was my first MIB princess pony, i paid $300, i've never seen her before, i and i doubt i ever will again, so the $300 price, well worth it, you can see Punzie's all the time, but this? i doubt it...

wow that princess pony is beautiful!! im really not sure what my splurge was this year... possibly the craiglist lot i bought for $50 a few months back that had a crap load of G3 crystal princess ponies, plushies and playsets. i normally dont even like to spend $20 at a time on ponies so that was one of my most expensive buys.

Thanks! i know sosilver was so sad that he had to get rid of her, but he know's it was going to a very good loving home. I know if i had to sell any of my ponies one day i'd want it to go to a good home and to a good friend. Me and sosilver keep in contact so if he ever wanted to see more pictures of her, he knows i'd do it for him :nod:
