Where my G2 Collectors at?

So, I recently ordered my very first G2: Clever Clover. I originally had no interest in G2s because they surfaced during the peak of my cynical teen years when I shunned everything cute. But since I've been back in the pony circuit for a while, I decided it was time to round out my modest collection and represent G2.

I picked Clever Clover because he's purple and it's one of my favorite colors. I was totally stoked that he arrived on St. Paddy's day!

Being that he was not MIP, and as far as I can tell, G2 boy ponies don't really have a distinguishing boy feature (no furry hoof sculpt or anything), I actually had no idea he was a "he" until I did some reading after his arrival. :blush:

Are there any more boy G2s?

Last question: who are your favorite G2s and why?

I'm not an exclusive G2 collector, so I don't know too much about them. I do have a few, and would like to get a bunch more though. I'm pretty sure that there are more boys than just Clover. I think there are a few Princes, but I'm sure someone else will come in and give you more accurate info.

As for my favorite. I would say Clover and Princess Silver Swirl. She's so pretty. :)
 
I'm a G2 collector! Though my knowledge of them isn't the greatest. There is Clever Clover, Prince Clever Clover, Prince Firefly, Prince Fauna and Princess Blue Dream. I think that it is it.

My favorites would have to be Princess Golden Light, Copper Glow and Springdy

Clover is a boy!? That's news to me! lol Does it say "he" on his backcard or do we just call him he?
 
my fav g2 is Petal Blossom cause she was my first g2 :) i remember i was so happy that my little ponies were finally back so i dragged my grandfather to the store and begged him for a pony :lol:

other than her i like the unicorns, specially silver glow and copper glow :)
 
I've been picking up G2s now and then when one catches my eye. I thought I'd bought a Silver Swirl, and wondered why her horn was orange, and assumed someone had painted her horn (why?????!!! lol). Since I've managed to have more G2s catch my eye than initially expected, I went out seeking more info, and it turns out she's not Silver Swirl but "Diamond Glow". As far as I can tell, the only diff is the orange horn. :) She, the "real" Silver Swirl, and Princess Golden Light, and TAF Sweetberry (from the Magic Kitchen playset) are my faves. I would love to get my hands on the Baby Silver Swirl that came with the Light up Silver Swirl. (Dialga-BRite has the light up Silver Swirl). And I think all the babies are adorable. After doing this "research" now of course there's a G2 wishlist. :labrat:

Are there any other TAF-y ones besides Sweetberry-from-the-Magic-Kitchen?

Is there a G2 collector's social club yet? lol
 
Another g2 collector here! Granted I only collect the US released stuff and the unicorns so my collection is small. It also doesn't help I'm a completist and must have my ponies with their accessories. My fav though is Sky Skimmer.
 
I had no idea Clover was a boy! LOL! "He"s the only G2 I've got at home, though I had a few left at my parent's in the 'kid bin'. (Which I often fantasize about raiding now that I am collecting). I really do like Sky skimmer, her pose is lovely. I like Berry bright as well (I think that's her name?)

Actually, after checking out that site, I had the entire 1997 line of G2s. Maybe I really should go back to my parent's and nab them....

G2s are actually my favorite generation :) I had more of them than any other generation when I was younger (early teens when I was REALLY into G2s), but my knowledge of them isn't that great. Most of them were UK releases and I wasn't an active member of the pony community at the time, so I didn't even know about that until way after they had stopped making them!

My favorite is Princess Trixibelle (sp?), who still eludes me!

I found out when I did an eBay price check. He popped up as "Prince Clever Clover" and so I researched it a bit more. I've never actually seen a backcard, but every site I came across refers to him as a boy, so I just figured they can't all be wrong. Anyway, glad I wasn't the only one who thought it! :bonk:
 
The sad truth is that I remember when the G2 line came out and at that time I had "out grown my ponies" too cool for toys lol. Then when I got back into collecting ponies again, I still didn't care to much for them, I had got a few in lots, and left them in my office, where they stare at me while i am on the Pc. Then one day it just hit me how cute and different they were, I now have about 4 MIB and clever clover was my first, MIB. I would love to have more, the babies are also really cute.
 
My fav G2 is Princess Silver Swirl. Such a lovely girl, I adore her. Indeed, very nice..
