My story is a little boring, it’s just ‘I bought her from Moonshimmer’. The full story is that Moonshimmer got hold of a pack of a dozen of them factory sealed. She’s got some magical talent for finding really rare ponies, she’s got a few amazing G2 prototypes, but these perfume ponies came as a very small batch rather than a one off. She sold them to other collectors and kept one or two back for her own collection. I snagged the last one for sale!

You can see the set here, you can see one at the front that’s more prototype-y, but the rest were finished ponies with full paint and eye gems

I love seeing stories like this, it’s not at all boring to me! It’s just so intersting

I’ve been trying to think of my own answer for this thread about what pony mine may be but I’ve not yet landed on an answer yet. I have a lot of ponies that are special to me

I know what you mean, the perfume pony probably isn’t my most ‘special’ pony to me - that would be some of my childhood ponies or one like pretty parlour Ivy who I didn’t have as a kid but envokes such nostalgia in me! But in terms of ‘crown jewel’ I took to mean ‘most impressive’ and if I had to show off or brag about one it’s definitely the perfume prototype. She’s who I’d take to pony show and tell, and the one I’ve pointed out to my husband with the instruction ‘if the house is on fire THIS is the one you have to save’

She is! Baby Ragweed was commissioned for my Halloween swap box (2023) by @Rebeldream from @Babylofty416, who made such a cute little pony that she sits with all my favorites. I have to keep her in a box so the dust doesn't make her poor watery eyes run over. Good thing she has a box of tissues, because allergy season is on the way again! (Achoo!)

Thank you! I do adore her but she does have a tiny pink mark on the NDS of her face. It let me get her for a decent price and have a lovely display piece. So still has a flaw. Twilight has the mark North Star is probably the best of the ones I have.
 
My rarest specials are customs include: from Fire Helix (made from scratch including the ponies, pic from OmineToyz), who sadly had difficulty keeping up (finances and work) so ended up being unable to continue.

Lovelauraland customs also would be quite special although of hers I only have 3 and 2 are missing their custom witchy brooms and mats.

Most special of non custom would be... hmm oh dear I have a shelf of 100 it so hard to decide :)... which needs some realigning. I have been trying to get the accessories sets for the G1 princess set 2 (missing sunbeam), and accessories in full for many including G1 (e.g. brush grow, slumber party, dance prance, happy tails, newborn twins, brothers, rockin etc), G2 playsets, G3 and the baby twins and accessories for G2s. I often miss out on many as I don't get to go to fairs and the auctions have automated last second bot bids which are hard to beat. The accessories are often rarer and harder to find and collect than the ponies :) Which is why when I saw the rollerskates melody with her glasses earlier I did a small squee :hearteyes:. The G1 families are also tricky as my last one to find, the meadowsweet dad with hair colours, is hard to find for less than $800USD (adding in taxes). I try to record pics of as much pony data as I can and accessories/original colors, combining from many different sites and sales records.

This girl!
I got her for a really good deal after my exams, all she needed was a de-frizz and a wipe down. She’s been a dream pony ever since I saw her online on Ponyland Press in the late 2000s, so I’m glad she’s mine at last!! :ponylove:

How valuable is the Ember's Dream cassette? (playable)
... or the oddball Firefly with the dark blue hair that came with the VHS tape? (in good condition)
just wondering. I have those. Not considered them so much as jewels, though the cassette is the gold-like-
metal that anchors my backcard blurb book project.

I’d been trying to decide who my “crown jewel” would be. I have a few customs that are dear to me and some of my UK girls like Cascade, Hopscotch, Snowdrop, and Bluebell are my absolute favorites. But as this girl is now on her way to me, I gotta say she’s currently the jewel!
