Hi everyone! I've had several people ask to know more about our exact financial goals, and how those goals break down. I'd like to take the opportunity to share with you all just how much it takes to keep this place going year after year, and show you just how crucial your donations are to keeping this community up and running.

MLPTP Costs for 1 year:

Web hosting: $1000
Forum software licenses: $60
LLC Registration: $300
Taxes: $500
Tax professional / accountant: $400
Financial bookkeeping programs: $360
Prizes: $200
Fundraiser shipping: $400

TOTAL: $3,220.00

Why Does the MLPTP Need to be an LLC?

First, let me reiterate that when I became the owner of the MLPTP in late 2019, it was sudden and unexpected. But there was no one else willing to take it on when the previous owner departed. While I am willing to put forward the effort and time to keep the community going, having been permanently disabled since the age of 17 means that I cannot support the MLPTP from my personal finances. In fact, to do so would mean jeopardizing my eligibility for things like my health insurance. The only way to do that in a proper legal sense is to have all finances run through MLPTP LLC.

Are There Any Ways to Cut Down Costs?

This budget as is bare-bones as it gets. We have postponed several other features that we were hoping to be able to bring to you, but as of now have not had the necessary funding to make it happen.
