I keep seeing her more and more being sold.

she's on ebay now, with someone saying they traded for her and have 'lost interest' in her. They must know of the contract...

I think with other people selling her, its become a bit of a free for all.

every time someone is told they can't sell her on ebay, the seller throws a hissy about "I DIDN'T SIGN ANY CONTRACT!!" or some crap, so i think the fair people have probably just given up trying to stop it.

Well, we are supposed to just tell the Fair commitee now, when we see that, and they are supposed to take care of that. I understand people saying they didn't sign any contract, but really!

There really isn't anything we can do about it, though. I just hope Hasbro realizes it's only a small percentage of dishonest people doing this, and the rest of us love our Bay Breezes and wouldn't trade them for the world! At least for now! Maybe when she's widely released, we'll see more of the Fair editions out, but I would rather have mine, or trade her to someone I know wants her, then sell her on eBay...

*sighs*

Just a friendly reminder to not harrass sellers on ebay. I'm not saying anyone on this thread has, I am just crossing my fingers that no one does.

I personally have traded 16 Bay Breeze ponies for MLP Fair prizes and these people did not sign a contract. So there are at least that many of the 300 who were traded with no contract.

It's a shame.

The people after a fast buck could easily stop Hasbro giving the pony community any more special editions.

I think the trouble is so many of these ponies have already changed hands several times and the people that have them may really not have agreed to the contract. To be honest it is probably nearly impossible to enforce.

I just feel priveledged to have one in my collection. I don't ever want to part with her.

Is still okay to trade her, right? I'm thinking of trading mine but I'm not sure.

so, what, only the people who originally received a bay breeze are constrained to not selling her? that hardly seems fair. i was under the impression that ANY recipient of bay breeze, no matter how many times it has changed hands, had to agree not to sell her. i know if i was going to trade my bay breeze, i would inform the recipient that she is not to be sold.

The seller is a member of the pony comunity so she is very well informed of the contract.

Spotted Slug, would you happen to have another to trade, by chance? *puppy eyes*

I'm not surprised, she seems to make no secret of the fact she knows about it on the auction, she's just 'bored' of it, she could easily trade her here, legitimately, why sell?

Informed or not informed, people will still do what they want. Right or wrong. Good or bad. Fair or unfair.

Bay Breeze wins the award for Most Frustrating pony. *pins a ribbon on her*

I do feel like all this has been discussed before.

There is more than one on ebay right now. I bought one I have to say *I am ashamed*. No one would trade one with me, and I was sick going through treatments when they were offered in the pony community. Soo that being said even though I obtained mine in not a so good way. I would NEVER sale her EVER, or trade :)

fair enough i cant get her cos she's white, Im collecting whole white ponies :/

I don't have a Bay Breeze, but when I heard about the contract, I had a bad feeling that it wouldn't last long. And those who received Bay Breeze through a trade can hardly be expected to uphold a contract they haven't signed or even read, even if they were advised of it by the original owner or knew of it from being a community member. I'm not saying that's right, but it legally cannot be enforced in that situation. Frankly, even if someone DID sign the contract, what are the consequences for breaking it? Other than the scorn of collectors, I haven't heard of any actual penalties or legal recourse befalling those who sell after they've "sworn" not to. :?

Just been on Ebay and there are two up for auction. One from the US (currently on $20.50) that was mentioned on this thread - lost interest - and one from Hong Kong from that same seller who was selling the prototypes (currently on $11.02.

I'd love to have her but wouldnt want to go against Hasbro by buying her from Ebay. I hope she gets released soon!!

I think the contract isn't technically legally binding or anything, just sort of the right thing to do since Hasbro was kind enough to supply them, ya know? She's a lovely pony and I hope she gets released son enough, so that everyone who wants one can get her! That should stop all the problems with ebay. Plus, I'd really love to open mine, but I can't bring myself to do it! Hopefully the store released version will have the same pretty scent.
:)

I wonder if that is why the one seller is keeping the bidder's ID private, as not to be harrassed.
