Tackling issues and showing diversity isn't bad, but cartoonists seldom handle it in a thoughtful, natural way. And Hasbro has a looooong history of hamfisted, clumsy, moralizing and tokenizing. Not just in MLP, but in their other shows too.
Plus wokeness is just a thinly veiled attempt to push a prejudiced agenda. Modern "activists" are nothing more then hypocritical bigots with an unbalanced mindset.
They can't scream about wanting equality and diversity, while denigrating and wanting to openly oppress others who aren't their gender, sexuality, race, etc. in the same breath and still say they are for equal rights.
I have no respect for SJWs, and wokeness does not belong in children's shows.
You don't show such things by going See here! This person is (insert) and speeshul and bestest because they're (insert) and (insert) is bad/dumb/evil because I said so!
You just have them interacting as one would with family, friends, classmates and co-workers irl. Naturally. That is the best way to include it.
