We are pleased to announce that after a brief hiatus, the MD Pony Meet is returning in 2023!


What is the MD Pony Meet?

Established in 2003, the MD Pony Meet is the largest and longest-running pony meet in the world, featuring custom-built games, contests, live auctions, and many more activities and events for meet-goers to enjoy. All games are pony-themed, such as Pony Plinko (with a real Plinko board!), Unicorn Ring Toss, and the long-famed MD Pony Meet Scooter Race (on a real pony-sized scooter track!). Games are added and changed every year for never-ending pony-themed fun.

How Do I Sign Up?

Please note that the MD Pony Meet is NOT open to the public. Our attendance is limited due to our contracted venue and the number of people we can comfortably accommodate. While the MDPM maintains the record for the largest and longest-running pony meet in the world, we do not have plans to become a full-fledged convention of thousands. If we were to move to a larger venue at this time, our costs would skyrocket, and those costs would directly impact our entrance fees. Instead, we have chosen to stay with our current venue and continue to make the MDPM an easily affordable event for attendees to enjoy.

I sent in my registration but unsure if I can go at this time. But I want to be prepared!!
 
oh my goodness time has flown by so quickly ! Looking forward to a grand time :) already got bling supplies on order ;-) glad have several months for this project!
 
Hotel already booked! I"ll be there!

Unfortunately (and fortunately), my mom will be with me. As much as I'd like to stay the entire time, I am sure she'll start pushing me to get out of there after an hour or so. If anyone has their non-pony fan mothers with them, let's group them together to entertain each other lol

I hope to at least stay until the winners of the customs are announced. I have my plans set to customise for the contest!

I'll have a few ponies I hope to swap with. Quackers being one, Mimic if I don't find a swap for her before then, and a few others in mind.

I am excited to meet you all too, put faces to the screen names!

We're gonna try and book a room next month or february when we've saved up again. Im worryinggg but we're dead set on going! Itll be so much funnn!! >:D

@MustBeJewel Do you happen to know how fast rooms get booked?

I really hope you can stay for longer than an hour, as our activities go all day! To give you an idea, doors generally open around 9-10am, we buy/sell/trade until lunchtime around 12-1, then we have all of our games (and this year, a live auction!), and the rest is generally free time until closing ceremonies and contest/drawing winners just before 5.

We do not have a room block this year (but likely next year!), so my advice is to book a room with a free cancellation option ASAP. They won't charge you for the room until you've stayed there, so there shouldn't be any up-front cost. :)

Oh! :O i was under the impression the room had to be paid for at time of reservation. On the website it says " Once a reservation is confirmed, your credit card will be charged between time of booking and day of arrival for the total amount shown, regardless of whether or not the reservation is used" I dont know if different holiday inns have different protocols or what. If thats right tho, i couldnt make a reservation not knowing when the money is gonna be taken out. Maybe im looking at the wrong thing?
(Edit: I called and I was looking at the wrong thing but the lady at the desk said the reservation technically isnt free since they hold money on your card but she said they only charge at time of checking out so I guess that settles it :O Ill have to figure out a reservation!)

Honestly not sure. my dad booked the room for me using his hotel points. I think we are at the holiday inn, little further away
 
Really really looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting new pony peeps! For those who have moms along (Pfff I’m probably even older than them. Ha.), they’re welcome to hang with me as (despite being a collector) I mostly just watch the fun and games from my comfy chair (it’s hard to walk and stand and such) and occasionally wander out to see who’s selling what and chit chat. And eat. And eye up the prize table. And the freebie table.
 
Booked my hotel reservation (at the holiday inn) :D So excited!!!

Also, i booked through the website and it did it differently than the front desk said. There were 'no deposit' options on the website with free cancellation so glad i looked before i did it over the phone! I saw there were only 4 queen bed rooms left but it seemed like plenty of standard and king size bed rooms, just for anyone who would wanna know. If you sign up on the website they give you a discount too!

I've always wanted to come to this event and I thought this year would finally be the year, but due to a sudden and ongoing family crisis it's just not possble. I'm looking forward to seeing posts about it though!

Once again I find myself saying maybe next year.

I am counting my blessings and saying my prayers I get to go too!! Ive got everything planned, so im just hopinggg soooo hardd. pLSSS universe dont keep me from goingg!!
