Alternate rehair for skyflier?

How do you feel about alternate rehair? I think I prefer orig colours generally. But I have run into a pickle with this girl. She was one of a batch of very poor g1s I got. Her hair plugs were all damaged so I have repaired as best can. I also had to redo her glitter symbol. I don't have the correct colour (can't get here) and I've seen some rehairs which do look pretty in different pink, purple and blues. She is never going to be valuable bc of her mane and symbol issues so really I could alternate rehair her. But the perfectionist in me is procrastinating. Argh. Any thoughts?

You could try color matching them there is a rerooting guide somewhere that uses the original manufacturer hair

I'm in Australia so unless I pay exorbitant postage I'm limited to what I can get here, which is an amazing array of colours, but not always easy to get a match.

@Mich - Bahaha! I mean if you want to you are more than welcome to do so. ;p If your looking for a hair source you might want to look into My Little Custom (link below) as they’re UK based so you might save some postage money with them.

@Nerdzuka - Dollyhair is one of many sources for nylon pony hair (with exact matches). I typically source from Dollyhair, Shimmerlocks, Dolltress, My Little Custom and Retro Doll US. Our very own @drusilla also sells pony hair from the HQG1 ponies. ;) And our dear friend @skig made a wonderful hair matching guide based on the colours available from Dollyhair. :)
 
I agree with Skybreeze. I like alternate rehairs. Also, that poor sky flier!

I say throw caution to the wind and bring a new life to that pony! She may need a change after what she's been through lol.

She's your pony Mich, whatever you do will look lovely. And I look forward to seeing her either restored or with new colors.

I’ve only ever done tinsel rehairs :) havnt done hair yet lol

And I agree! She’s your pony! Maker her how you think she will be most beautiful!
