Book suggestions

Abarat by Clive Barker. It's not a horror book---it's a fantasy that reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, and Labyrinth (the one with the goblin king and David Bowie).

Also the Redwall series by Brian Jacques...it's sort of like Lord of the Rings but with animals instead of people.

I love apocalyptic stuff, especially zombie themed stuff. I have all of the hard cover WD comics and the novels and of course the Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z :) Thanks for the suggestions! Now I will not be stumped when I need to order my next book or series :)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I just finished Divergent in like 48 hours. I couldn't put it down. The book is much better than the movie. I rented it tonight and I was disappointed in who they cast as Four. I had this idea in my head and the actor just did not measure up. It is not his fault, I just wanted someone else. Something more. I want to read Insurgent before it comes out on DVD. I bet it will be MUCH better than the movie, but isn't that always the case? LOL!

The Hunger Games were a great series. I started reading Divergent after the rave reviews, but book 2 and 3 just didn't cut it for me. I highly recommend the Game of Thrones series. I had trouble putting them down!

Yeah half way through the Game Of Throne series. Loving it. Though it is more violent than the Hunger Games. Also read Warm Bodies which is much better than the movie (but also a bit gory)

I read Insurgent in one day. Yesterday was SO hot I did not want the kids and I to burn to a crisp outside, so we stayed in. They played with blocks and toys and I sat with them and read. It was not as good as the first one, but it wasn't too bad. I am about a third of the way through Allegiant this morning. I forgot how fun it is to get lost in a story, but I probably shouldn't be reading that much - LOL!
