Custom HQG1C Sea Pony: Coral Cove

I finally mustered up the courage to dye an HQG1C. I'm anxious that she'll end up mellowing to a lighter shade. I could not protect some of her hair from getting dunked into the drink. Oh well, at least the tinsel didn't melt.

I did manage to rinse out some of the dye in her hair. I'm wondering if I should make it a darker shade 'o' purple to cover my mistake? What do you guys think? Or at least a gradient shade 'o' purp.

Thanks guys! Now I just gotta add a bit of darker purple at the bottom and she'll be done. I like the way the blue fin accents look against the red so they'll stay as they are.

I agree with @AzaleaArt, the dye in her mane isn’t noticeable unless your looking for it. I love HQG1 ponies that have been dyed new.

It is a bit, but not as bad as I thought. I kind of like it. To somewhat quote Bob Ross, "It's a happy little accident."

Me too. Some of those people do incredible work. Dyeing pony hair is way too much fun.

I like her dyed red. Looks really cool One of the things I did when I dyed my first pony was to add a scented potpouri oil to the mix and dipped her again so she would be scented and dyed. She still smells fabulous and it's been a decade since I made her! Cool custom!
