Does it feel hopeless to you?

I've actually given this some thought too. I was looking at my ponies the other day and I picked up my Mimic. I paid a pretty penny for her, and a while after I got her, I noticed she has some of the pin dot mold starting to form on her feet. It makes me think about how they will eventually all get cancer. Though, it's years down the road. If you constanly worry about what will happen in the future, it's very hard to enjoy life.

Just remember that even though there is not a miracle cure-all product for all age spots on the shelves now, with time there may be. We will just have to wait and see.

and even early Barbies (who are also made out of plastic) from the '50s and '60s are still around too.

Sadly, early 60's Barbie dolls suffer from vinyl problems too. The plastizier oozes from certain year heads and it causes them too appear greasy and eventually their face paint "slips" off. Late 60's Barbies are losing their color at an alarming rate too. They also suffer from dreaded green spots. So many have problems but there are still some that have survived aging thus far. I'm sure MLP will be the same way.

I totally understand you Desert_Rose, I am the same way.
I Like my ponies, but I hate that one moment they are pretty and nice looking, next time I go to look at them, they have cancer and/or mold.
What I hate the most, is that you can´t do anything about it, you can´t remove it, without ruining the ponies, I have tried :(
My Nightglider and my UK Gypsy has it, and there is nothing to do, they are two of my fave ones, so I really hate it, I am considering selling/trading them, but then someone else will get stuck with the problem, and that don`t seem fair to me !
So far they stand here on my desk, far away from my pony room, so they don´t give it to other ponies.............

I can already imagine archeologists somewhere in 10.000-something digging up the remains of my home and finding all these 'weird animal statues'. I can see the head lines now: "scientists discover evidence of primitive worship of Equus Caballus on planet Earth"

LOL - I wish I was alive to see that

What is they say: desperation breeds ingenuity! Hop to it my ingenious little ponies!
God I hope you are right. And I hope that some smart person (who is not me) will come up with a cure soon. Everything else in our society is going so fast, so why not that...
