Easter Card and Egg Exchange Sign Ups!! CLOSED

Who asked me when is a good time to start shipping? I forgot who asked and I think i erased the PM, but i've had that on my mind for a couple of days telling myself I need to respond 00)

I think at the begining of April is a good time. Really you can ship or mail whenever, It all depends on how much you spend on shipping. Between 2weeks and a week should work. :D :D

I'm feeling the same way right about now. It's kind of the same as the RAOK thing but better! I can't wait till my person gets hers. Shipping is going to be crazy though, lol.

Anybody have any ideas yet on how to ship the baskets without everything moving around? I'd love to hear some suggestions.

You could wrap the basket in cellophate or tissue paper (kind of like they do for the large basket sets at the stores) and tie it off with a ribbon. And then pack the rest of the empty space in the box with tissue paper, peanuts and bubble wrap. I'm guessing we should all probably mark the packages "THIS SIDE UP" and "FRAGILE" just in case.

That's a great idea. I was thinking packing peanuts but those are so darn messy but if the basket was wrapped in cellophane it should work out ok. I think I'll label it this side up also just so my person knows where to open it from, not because I expect the PO to listen, lol.
 
I figured I'd do newspaper. it keeps everything in place and my bunny pal won't have to dig through peanuts to find their stuff.

Thats a really good idea. I'm planning on wrapping my basket up in plastic and then maybe using newspaper. Peanuts are great, but annoying...due to the mess they make.lol

I wonder who is doing my basket....I'm very excited. When is a good time to ship out the boxes? Would you say a week before easter?
 
I think I'll do at least a week before, probably more, you never know with the PO and I don't want it to be late. :)

That will all depend on what shipping you choose.

If you choose the cheepest, the more than a week before.
 
I started shopping for my basket today.

I hadn't thought about the what if it get's turned upside-down. I'm gonna have to rethink about how I'm gonna pack it. Of course worse comes to worse I can always take to to work to pack it with the good bubblewrap and peanuts (I work at an eBay Drop Store & TRU) I think it will be ok as long as the basket is wrapped and tied. It may not be the prettiest but at least everything will stay inside the plastic and not get tossed around.

Hey everyone, I hope you all have read the anoucnment by SatinSlipper. Unfornaualty there is word that this person is apart of our Easter exchange. Im sorry about this as i had no idea, but feel a little responible, as I am in change of the exhcange. I am waiting for confermation from SS and have PM the people who are grouped with this person. Actually, I've been really lazy lately. I really should make those cards o_o;; And I need to find an egg big enough to fit something...

The waiting! That's the trouble! I'm so excited, and I want to get everything mailed, but I feel like its too early!
 
I got my shopping done like two days after we got the lists XD

Got some things mailed out, but had a little issue with something else. >.> So it's going tommorow. :D My eggs aren't so exciting, but I really hope my basket person enjoys their basket!

Moonshard...I still need the address so I can ship out the box tomorrow morning. I understand that you most likely got busy. But you said since you had no homework you were going to send me my basket persons address tonight. :(

I don't care if its too early right now. :wink: I put "don't open until easter" on top of my box. So its kind of up to that person if they want to ruin the surprise or wait until easter. I really want to get my box out...just so I don't forgot. lol :D
 
LOL Sorry mlpsayuri, My hubby was using the puter for homework and his speech thats due tomarrow. :D I sent the addy and got an answer to your question. :wink:
