Baity Pretty Parlour Ivy is on her way to the factory for moulding. A nice bonus is that she won't be destroyed in the process so no ponies will be harmed / sacrificed! I did have to remove her hair and symbols since we don't want those on the blanks, but when she returns she'll probably become a Minty or maybe a super fancy Ivy

I also filmed everything even my trip to the post office because there'll be an official tiktok and instagram coming

Also nice to know going forward that no unicorns or babies have to be yeeted to the pony gods for the greater good too haha

The design process by the factory also will make unique poses and sculpts quite straightforward too!

It is very comforting to know no ponies get harmed in the making of this stuff. If it was me doing this I’d feel the need to watch my pony like a hawk throughout the entire thing. Or maybe that’s just me. I can’t settle when someone handles my belongings unless I’m hanging around or there

Super exciting!! I shared this project with my friend who is not much of a pony collector, and he was super pumped as well. I'm already thinking of ideas! Going off the four month production time estimate you shared on Tumblr, these could be finished around all the 40th anniversary celebrations!! That would be so special!!

Typically the moulding process will destroy the original item - the moulds are made from steel and the process is quite harsh - however this company uses a technique where they 3D scan the original then CNC the shape out of the steel (basically carving / engraving the pony shape out of a steel block like reverse 3d printing). Their machinery is super advanced though so the results are super smooth and look as good as an original moulding method

I am loving the mascot idea - I have such late 90s nostalgia maybe the mascot should be themed to that? It's hard to pinpoint the feeling G2 gives me - it has all the pastel rainbow fantasy princess castle dress up meadow vibes of G1's world but with something special I can't describe haha

When you took Ivy to get her scanned, did you have to remove her eye crystals too? I guess that’ll probably be shown in the official tiktok when it comes out though. I’m just so interested in the whole process

Yes! Funny story - she only had one crystal anyway, and when I dunked her in hot water to remove her head it fell out haha. I was going to keep it as a spare but it sadly got lost

Oh no! I’d say “maybe it’ll turn up” but the eye crystals are so tiny
I guess it’ll be replaced when she becomes a new pony anyway

I think this one is gone - the hot water must have made it fall out because when I started drying her head I noticed it had gone, then realised I'd poured the water down the sink and probably the crystal with it

I went to use the plastic bowl for some gardening and it was just rattling around in the bottom, so magically somehow it survived being poured away with the water! Absolutely no idea how

I discovered something today!

I decided to experiment after seeing G3 Honalu-loo’s wings on ebay because I thought that baby G3 wings may fit on a G2 and it totally works!!



they are a real perfect fit! really snug and secure

They have the playset hook which is less aesthetically appealing BUT in general they look pretty. My quest to replicate G2 wings on a base stronger than the hairclips is still on, and this has been a big step forward. I have tried with other G2 wait accessories like Sun Sparkle‘s kite and the umbrella holders but they haven’t been sturdy enough to balance the weight of the wings

hopefully these will yield better results!

also will probably make a mould just for these little butterfly wings because they are super cute too

edit: the end aim of this is for them to be for sale on the G2 Re-Do site. I don’t think they’ll be factory made for a long time if ever, but I will hopefully be offering them as handmade accessories in small batches!
