First Mini Worlds review:
Oh my gosh haha, thanks for sharing this video! I'm not even touching these sets after seeing lol, no way. I found myself thinking of Polly Pocket while watching this as well, mostly to note that I think even Polly Pockets are bigger than these are. But they're right, everything about the Polly Pocket sets are just made so much better.

I believe I've still got my old Polly Pocket like... club bus thing? Goodness that thing's a trip, there are so many little things to it, it can go through such a major transformation that it took me years to even notice it all. If you're gonna go unreasonably mini and compact, that's definitely the way to make it worthwhile.

I think they look really cute but they definitely should have made it so the pieces are all together at least mostly. Theres going to be so many missing pieces! I wouldnt have bought them either way, I dont usually buy those types of tiny plastic compacts anymore. I have my polly pockets and mini pound puppy compacts I dont have space haha. This would have been the type of toy my mom would have kept put away from me until asked for and she would have made sure nothing got left out after haha. :lolpony: Hasbro was definitely not thinking about practicality..

Yess!! Theyre my favorite!! I dont wanna get in trouble posting non g5 things to this thread haha so I wont post pics but theyre basically the same as polly pocket. Lots of fun hiding places for the minis, and the landscape is attached. The accessories fit in it when closed. You could find them by googling pound puppy mini playset. :winkpony: Its how the G5 sets should have been. Honestly i think they would have been amazing and worked if they were kind of like a StarCastle, some things need to be set up but only a few!! They would have been cute that way.

Okay, so this is why the whole "CalArts style!" label is so dumb. It has no meaning. Somehow it's gone from "art that has a certain style of mouth, like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe" to "I dunno, made in California and . . . is cheap?"

MLP Make Your Mark is animated in Vancouver, British Columbia using CGI models made in Ireland and MLP Tell Your Tale is from a studio based in Malaysia, but they have a British studio as well. G4 MLP was animated in Vancouver (one studio) and the Philippines (two studios). You will often see animation done in countries with a lower minimum wage, which is nothing new; that's also why G1 MLP 'n Friends and many other 80s television cartoons were animated in South Korea instead of the US. (To be clear, being made overseas is cheaper in the sense of "costs less money than a similar product in the US would", but it doesn't automatically mean "bad animation." Batman The Animated series and the entire Disney Afternoon were made overseas too.)
I just heard that's what people call that style and it was a name to use but in the end it doesn't matter where the stuff comes from or who makes it I just think it's awful and cheap looking, except Gravity Falls I liked that one.

Also the main problem I see for the comics is availability and price, I mean the average comic now days seems to be around four to five dollars and it just doesn't seem worth it in the end.

Glory is mentioned in the new Tell Your Tale episode as a baby pegasus and also credited as just “Glory”

Is that unicorn there “Onyx”? All I’m thinking of is the Pokémon Onix

those poor ponies on YouTube. Whatever style it's called, I just can't get past the crap art. I am old school and like to see things with more time and effort put into it. Seeing this, I can't even give it a chance
It’s episode 20 and I’m still not a fan of the style either. I don’t know how I’m still watching. I guess the one story episodes are okay for me but I just don’t like the style much still

I still can't deal with the fact that they made Posey so..... crabby. Not gentle Posey. I'm not sure who that imposer is but I think we need The Doctor on the case.

My opinion is, this is Posey Bloom. Its like being named after a distant relative, but you can't expect them to behave exactly the same way, as say, your gentle grandfather, or carefree aunt.

Or in other words, it's like how Rainbowdash isn't a fabulous fashionista like her namesake.

Also, Posey was pretty judgemental and quick to take sides between the crab-nasties and florries in Fugitive Flowers because one group was ugly. (Although to be fair, the crab nasties were ripping up the woods in dream valley, causing just as much destruction and had poor communication skills.)

Oh, that's right. I forgot about that half of it.

Where's our brushy new ponies with tail ribbons? Uggo TTG art style aside, there are some lovely color schemes among them. Where's our G5 Seashell and Posey Bloom toys?

I think Onyx is the rhyming unicorn and the unicorn who is just "Unicorn" is the one who was helping the couple literally move house.

Cross-posting from the Arena because I haven't seen anyone mention this yet. I recently stumbled across a Jazz Hooves brushable listed on Walmart's website.

Unfortunately, it looks like she's not being sold just yet and has so far only been given out as part of a promotion. I absolutely love Jazz from what we've seen of her so far (definitely helps that her voice actress also happens to sing one of my favorite songs hehe), so I'm definitely going to try and get my hands on her. I just hope it's not going to be a Rockin' Ranger Hitch situation all over again.

Wow, great to see that there’s some new ponies coming!

“Pony nail stickers”… do you mean ‘hooves’ Hasbro? Or perhaps to mean “hoof stickers to share!” to put on nails

Aww she's cute. It's about time they showed something new. I guess instead of ribbons and brushes, the go-to accessories are stickers and sunglasses.
