Cross-posting from the Arena because I haven't seen anyone mention this yet. I recently stumbled across a Jazz Hooves brushable listed on Walmart's website.

Unfortunately, it looks like she's not being sold just yet and has so far only been given out as part of a promotion. I absolutely love Jazz from what we've seen of her so far (definitely helps that her voice actress also happens to sing one of my favorite songs hehe), so I'm definitely going to try and get my hands on her. I just hope it's not going to be a Rockin' Ranger Hitch situation all over again.

Finally a new character. But I feel like it may be another one of the Walmart (or USA) exclusive ponies
Her design wasn't my favorite but I think she does look good as a toy and the stickers are a nice gimmick.

Wow, Jazz looks great! But haven't we established that the correct way for a pony to wear nail polish is . . .

Alright! That’s promising that we might get a few other characters at least besides the main crew  Always prefer pony variety

Oh I just noticed that the colors that Jazz toy has look less show accurate and more like Ivy's colors
I was just thinking yesterday how Hasbro either keeps repeating itself, or, more likely, uses G2 as a source to borrow, hence intentionally not driving attention to that gen.

Sky Skimmer had always seemed more of inspiration for Fluttershy than either Posey or G3 one, up to being in very first wave

Good point. And tbf, Hasbro reuses color schemes a lot anyway.

G5 overall reminds me a lot of G2, mostly because of body shape of the ponies also I've seen that a lot of people noticed characters in the Tell Your Tale that looked like G2 characters.
If they're indeed take inspiration from the G2 then I'm personally for it since I love that gen and it may introduce more people into that generation.
And I don't think think that Sky Skimmer was a big inspiration for Fluttershy. I think that Posey was definitely the main inspiration. Maybe someone did saw Sky Skimmer and said that Posey should be changed to Fluttershy.

I was reading a blog recounting one of the Pony Fairs that occurred during the Core 7 era of G3 and someone asked them why they'd left G2 off the MLP timeline that was on the Hasbro site at the time, and the Hasbro employees were like "Yeah, that was our bad, we forgot." And I think that has historically been why G2 gets left out so much; Hasbro must have misfiled all their G2 info or something. Maybe all their other MLP stuff is in a folder called "My Little Pony" and G2 is in a folder called "Kenner"? I think Fluttershy looking similar to Sky Skimmer is probably a coincidence; G3 Fluttershy already had a butterfly symbol, so if you combine her with Posey's colors . . . But then again who knows. Oh to be a fly on the wall when they design ponies!

But yeah, I'm getting major Ivy vibes from Jazz, which I love! Someone on Tumblr pointed out that G5 Goldie (one of the upcoming mini figures) looks a lot like G2 Miss Painter. One of the background pegasi in the Tell Your Tale cartoons looks a lot like G2 Sundance, especially the McDonalds version. Purposeful references or coincidence? I hope they're purposeful, I love seeing older pony designs in new media. Jazz does seem soooo similar to Ivy . . . and Ivy worked in a salon (the G2 Pretty Parlor), like Jazz does.

I like that a lot.
Good catch! G5 seems to be reusing G1 ponies for background/side characters, and maybe (and a big maybe that is) even concept art from G3. It would be so cool to see G2 ponies returning.

Development art confirms that Fluttershy's colors are intended to be a direct copy from Posey. :winkpony:

OMG, that's so interesting!!! You can see (right side of image) a little list of other possible names for Fluttershy: Spring Bloom, Meadowbrook, Summer Azure, Petalwing.

Spring Bloom and Meadowbrook were also G3 names. Summer Azure is a breed of butterfly, I wonder if they would've changed her hair and symbol to blue if they'd used that name.

I think this new set is adorable! (Picture is from Amazon) However, I don’t think it’s worth $42… I’m hoping to find it in-store.

Wow, great to see that there’s some new ponies coming!

“Pony nail stickers”… do you mean ‘hooves’ Hasbro? Or perhaps to mean “hoof stickers to share!” to put on nails
So I’ve finally seen the back of the box. I thought she was being released with actual already painted hooves (which I thought was great) and the music notes were an example of the sticker. I linked my last post since I thought the music notes were stickers themselves that you could put on your own nails too… nope, I was wrong. The whole hoof is a sticker. Am I the only one who missaw?

I can’t remember, are any ponies released with coloured hooves? I remember those customs of the ones that are painted

Yes, there's two releases of the first Izzy and she has painted hooves. If I can find the pictures of mine I can post.

There were two Scene packs, one with Izzy and one with Sunny. Both had painted hooves.
Pipp that Came with the castle - Royal Racing Ziplines had painted hooves as well as Pipp form the Royal Room Reveal.

I don't have the Pipp that comes with the castle but I have the rest.

Pipp's hooves are my favorite since they're painted with gold. And I do wish that "painted hooves" was the standard

Probably the nicest set (when it comes to painted hooves is Meet the Mane 5 Collection. It has all five ponies, all of them have painted hooves also Sunny and Hitch have their markings on their legs (and Hitch on his head).

From the upcoming sets I think that Musical Mane Melody Playset may have Sunny that has painted hooves but I'm not sure because not all promo pics have her with painted hooves (maybe one of the prototypes had painted hooves and one did not?).
And Izzy from the Unicorn Tea Party may have pained hooves.

None of these are brushable.

These figures feel more complete with painted hooves. Shame about the brushables not getting their painted hooves. I’ll keep telling myself it’s still early in to G5 and maybe they’ll end up painting the hooves for brushables down the line

I don't think I've seen the meet the mane five collection. Or I forgot. They look nicer that way.
