Hmm. I'm not sure if this will work out well or not.
Its not that I doubt the director, he's very good at what he does.
Its just that upon re-reading them the stories were pretty goofy. On par with some of the cheesier Goosebumps and AYAotD episodes.
Second, I don't think even Del Toro could recreate the seriously creepy artwork that gave many kids nightmares. (Ahem me) Stephen Gammel should have drawn artwork for all kinds of horror films and books. That man is a genius! Plus Del Toro has his own very distinct style.
Still, could be some good Halloween fun.
