How do you guys come up with their symbols?

I know what colors my pony would be but have no idea about the symbol! I have lots of hobbies and interests and don't really know exactly what I'd do!

My ponysona's cutie mark is a cupcake with a crochet hook sticking out of it!
And it's waaaaaay to detailed.
You just have to find that happy medium when designing your oc.

Set Your Anchor who's based on my love for the sea and colours i enjoy to make a 'hasbro-like' ponysona. i have her anchor tattooed on me

Decay who is my go to character for any game I play where there is character creation. this is his 'horse-form' so to say

Also as many know i love cherries jubilee so often if i commission art i will include her so bonus pic

Oh and I forgot my cow, if she counts too

I have been wanting a Ponysona and, with my daughter’s help, FINALLY came up with one!
Poet Rose is an alicorn who is naturally quiet and introverted, but has learned over time to become more sociable. Her energy comes from the natural world—especially flowers—and time alone painting word pictures (poems!). Her powers are creativity, empathy, and spirituality. Though often entangled with self-doubt, she breaks free and flies when she indulges her creativity or succeeds in helping someone else. She has a big heart, which gives her the power to heal and strengthen others, but also makes her fragile—easily hurt and saddened. She has learned to protect her heart, but paid some of her power to acquire the protection. She can be adventurous and loves to visit new places, try new foods or activities, and learn. She enjoys reading, long walks, and relaxed time with her family.
My daughter drew Poet Rose for me, and she appears as my avatar. I can’t seem to attach a picture here, though.

After feeling not so welcome into the newer fandom, and my art being put on a "bad pony ocs" blog, I was too scared to make any of my pony characters anymore than a show accurate. BUT NOT ANYMORE.
Based on my love for all pony generations and my current aesthetics and fashion Prisma Heart was born!

Based on my love for all pony generations and my current aesthetics and fashion Prisma Heart was born!

I love her. My girl does, too! It’s the little details that make them yours. My girl is a little envious of the hoof polish. She did a facepalm and a ‘why didn’t I think of that!’ Don’t let anyone get you down. Art is very subjective. Plus, people can be so mean. You won’t get that here. We love all the ponies! (Honestly, though, yours is awesome!) no cringe.

I'm sorry but why does any one person have a right to have a "bad pony OC's" blog? That's so wrong on many levels and whom ever runs it should be ashamed of themselves. For the most part an OC is a very personal and passionate thing for it's creator, no one should ever make anyone feel bad about what they've created. That really grinds my gears.

I'm sorry you've had that experience in that past. Prisma Heart is beautiful and you should wave her banner everywhere. A lot of thought and details went into her and that's very clear. Your character sheet for her is also great! I too am a fan of her holo hooves.

Skybreeze has had a little bit of a makeover in thanks to a fellow pony friend I commissioned. I have been wanting to do this for a long time but needed outside help as I was “stuck” on a new updated look.

it'll likely take me forever to flesh out a ponysona, really, but i've been experimenting today & drew up these two ponies - both which might turn out to be ponysonas someday. they're just veerrry early into development lol

having trouble thinking up cutie marks, their personalities, or any little accessories they could wear. first one is based off an earlier "character" of mine (mainly the hair) and second one is more based on my actual self- looks more like me if i had my hair the way i want it etc etc

i think i've got the style down pat which im happy about- a bit of the art style from g3 mixed with my own. i don't draw animals much so i'm still figuring it out


also, just wanted to say i love the many sona's posted in this thread- mainly @my little pony collector with Picture Perfect! SUCH a pretty color scheme and i love her theme. very inspiring.

My pony still dosent have a symbol because she’s just too great to label lol - so blank flank for life
