lol, that was to me, in California, so it would have to cross the whole continental US......
 
There are a few things, that would me worry beside the high shipping: What if nobody is at home, when they (UPS or something else)deliver the big box? Would they try it again at the next day, if somone is at home? Is it generelly possible that they deliver it to your home or do you have to collect it from the postoffice, because delivery for such heavy items to the door of your home is not offered? How to carry that big heavy box from the post-office to your car? Would the box fit in a usual car?

They are going to be using a freight line / commercial trucking company. They usually will not attempt a delivery without a confirmed delivery appointment. ;) I've been working for trucking companies/freight forwarders for a very long time now, and they won't just send it out for delivery (especially a residential one) without an appointment.

I tried the sipping calculator to see what it wouls say for alaska but it wouldnt give me a quote
 
hmm, *starts playing with numbers* looks like I could have it delivered to my husband's uncle's business for about $200...man but that's still a lot of money, plus the 200 to get over the reserve. And then it would be in maryland and I wouldn't see it until August. Man but that would be so cool to own. SO cool! My husband says I can sell my laptop and buy one....hmmm tempting...

I wonder if none of them reach over the reserve will they dissapear into oblivian for another 20 years? Or do you think they would relist with a lower reserve?

OOh! My dad won the pink one for me :D I'm going to pay it off in monthly payments to him. I told him my limit was a bid of $400 + the $200 shipping to his shop, but he bid extra to make sure I got one. He said not to worry about the extra $110 as he'll count it as Christmas :) I'm so excited! He really wanted to get the pink one for me as it was the only one you could clearly see in the set pic from the commercial..and I wanted it as it's actually based on a real pony.

I wish I could have bid, and I did try to work something out...but we have to buy a car, and I think I would have been strangled to spend that much on one! :oops:

Too bad these show up when I can't bid. That would have been too cool to have in a collection. I'm sorry to see them split up, but hopefully the other is with a pony person, too, so someday we could see them together...

Congrats to the winners...they are lovely and would make a great addition to your collection. Just don't be suprised if some little kid wants to take a ride on those sisters. :lol:
