Chris was going to bid on the yellow one for me, but I told him I couldn't justify spending that much money on it. I absolutely loved it though. Congrats Woosie and Jewel.

My dad and I have been researching trying to find info about these props. On the Dream Valley website under the section about MLP comercials made in Year 8, Kim say's that the comercial for the Baby Drink 'n Wet ponies begins with "girls riding sweetheart sisters on a carousel". :D I emailed her to see if she has a copy of it. I'm so excited that we may get to actually see the commercial that the giant ponies are from!

Mine was only just picked up by the freight company today from the seller, so it's on the way to my dad's now.

As for the commercial, it's for the Baby Drink 'n Wet ponies, but I guess Kimberly Shriner felt like ignoring my email or something as I never heard back from her about more info on the commercial as she describes it on her site Dream Valley.

I got more information from the seller today, including two more pics from the set, which I will post below. First the info:

Can't add very much more to what you know, except that the ponies were fabricated in NY and shipped to Orlando for the shoot. Hasbro thought they would be using the ponies for further commercials and so paid my friend (the owner) at Last Stage Out of Town (a film grip and lighting company) to store them. After several years, Hasbro said they weren't going to pay for storage anymore and to dispose of the ponies anyway they saw fit. Since they were crated up in the warehouse, getting rid of them became a low priority until now when space is needed for expansion.

Wow, that is really amazing, too bad the carousel had to be broken up. Wouldn't that be so cool to have complete? Huge congrats to you both!
 
I wonder if someone could email the yellow winner and ask them if they are a collector and maybe where it's going? Or would that be too wierd?
 
Wow! Those are amazing! Congrats to the winners. They are beautiful. I just invited my boyfriend to see these pictures and he thought they were cool as well. I wish I had that much talent!
