In my forever quest to convince my daughter who likes such awful crud as(and this is just my personal opinion) shows such as The Regular Show and Uncle Grandpa (though in her defense Ren and Stimpy was no better in my day) that my childhood cartoons rocked I've introduced her 80s-90s shows. Our recent forays were The Wuzzles, (she thinks they're hilarious) Denver the Last Dinosaur (she thought it was ok) and Eek the Cat! (she loves that one)

so what are your most recent trips into television nostalgia land?

The last old cartoon that I rewatched was X-Men. Remy and Kurt are the shiz. Though I've also watched the opening sequences of a few other TV series I loved as a child, including My Little Pony Tales (obviously), Starla (or Gwenevere) and the Jewel Riders, Gargoyles, Dragon Flyz, Conan the Adventurer, Biker Mice from Mars, Transformers: Beast Wars, Power Rangers... yeah, I watched a lot of boys' cartoons. There was also Freakazoid, Animaniacs, Scooby Doo, DuckTales, The Magic School Bus, the old Spider Man and Fantastic Four cartoons, The Little Flying Bears, Marsupilami, Captain Planet... These along with such British awesomeness as Postman Pat and The Wombles dominated my childhood. That's not counting the various Disney TV series, or the anime that I got into in my teens.

such awful crud as The Regular Show and Uncle Grandpa
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but that seems like an unfair evaluation, especially to people who honestly like those shows.
Personally I can't say much for Uncle Grandpa as I have never seen it, just the short that originated both it and Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, the latter of which was canceled for being a failure (not a "failure" opinion-wise, I mean actual failure, as in everybody hated it and ratings dropped like a hammer). However in Regular Show's case, I enjoyed the earlier seasons. I do feel the quality's degraded greatly over the years, though, and that it's not a show for everyone. Heck, I don't even think it's actually aimed at kids, more like college students or something. I wouldn't have liked it as a kid, I can tell you that much.
It's just that I personally would never call a show, say, "crap" or "horrible", or anything to its detriment, without at least stating it was my opinion first, instead of expecting my listeners/readers to share the same opinion from the get go. It immediately puts you at odds with people who may disagree with you, and makes them feel unwelcome in the conversation.

About shows I've revisited recently... Hmm. You know, that's kind of a hard question, I do that all the time. :p
I've gone through all the Cartoon Network openings (and tried to rank them from best to worst, haha), and before that I rewatched some bits of Sheep In the Big City. And the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show, it's great to have on while you're doing something else!
Oh! I've watched most of Lady Lovelylocks! Though that is from before my time, so it's only "childhood" related in that I watched a VHS tape of it once. But it did leave a mark!

Oh, and ladyofthenight, count me in on the boat of girls who watched mostly boy's shows. ;)

Kids' game shows. Last year I started watching "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" for research for an article I was writing. Then after watching about 5 episodes I realized how much I loved that show when I was 9. So I binge watched it for months. And some of the former cast members are active on social media.

Then I started watching old Double Dare, Think Fast, Fun House and Finders Keepers.

She thought Wild n Crazy Kids was the coolest ever a couple months ago. Wish Nick'd bring that back

I've started watching shows I missed out on as a kid like Blossom and Saved by the Bell...and then I throw in the old favorites like Full House. But where can one find Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?! I was hooked on that as a kid. I should try to find Ghost Writer too...

My favorite shows when I was young that I still like to watch are X-Men, Jem, Sky Dancers, Dragon Tales, Little Bear, Transformers, Swat Kats, TMNT, oh and my biggest favorite....

Captain Planet! :ponylove: Not many people seem to like Captain Planet :sadpony:

OMG CAPTAIN PLANET! I think I still know the theme song :)

Captain planet, he's a hero! Gonna take pollution down to zero! He's our powers magnified and he's fighting on the planets side~ I sing this song to my fiance to get him out of bed. He hates the show :lolpony:

I love most of these, but I'm an animation ho, so it's to be expected. Recently a friend got me the complete Space Ghost and Dino Boy series on DVD. They came out a year or so before I was born, but I've always been a huge fan of Alex Toth's character design. The shows are dated and the animation is limited, being Hanna Barbera, but I enjoyed them immensely all the same. Toth's clean lines and appreciation of a simple but stylish (and practical) costume were largely influential on me back in my 4 colour art days.

We constantly rag on poor ol' Captain Planet on my comic forum. He gets no love. LOL! I always enjoyed the show, myself. Although the villains were far more colourful (as often is the case with cartoons) than the heroes... I always rooted for the Decepticons, Cobra and the Tyrannos (Anyone remember Dinosaucers? Awful! I loved it!) more than the good guys anyday.

Hooray for old cartoons! I remember Captain Planet, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Gargoyles, Beast Wars, X-Men, Batman, to name a few.

You can find episodes on youtube and dailymotion.

Oh! I forgot about Dino-Riders! Though it only had 14 episodes, so I guess it's no surprise why. :p

Here's a funny video about the "World" theme song.
PS: be sure to read the comments section of the video. ^-^

Oh gosh Space Ghost! I loved Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet!

I loved those as well! And Harvey Birdman and The Brak Show to boot. I remember when Space Ghost Coast to Coast came out, it actually angered my older brother Eddie, because it 'didn't take Space Ghost seriously'. Such the dramas llama!

You actually like the Brak show?! That show is my jam! Most of my friends hated it because of how ungodly stupid it was! Oh gosh really? Your brother was just silly. I thought Space Ghost was much better suited to talk shows than crime fighting :lolpony:

I will admit this with no shame: the dumber the show the better sometimes! I thought Brak was hilarious, and I loved the songs! Sing to me, and you'll have me for life, especially when you're singing about pickles. I even bought the two Space Ghost Coast to Coast CDs! I hunted for them for months in music shops, so i could sing "Ramblin' And Wanderin" and "I LOve Beans" any darn time I wanted.

Of course, there can be a limit to how dumb I can take. I never cared for some of the Adult Swim offering like Xaiver or 12 Oz Mouse, but I may be the biggest fan of Rick and Morty you'll ever meet. I will resent not having a drunken mad scientist for a grandpa till the day I die. Or see something shinier.

Punky Brewster and Thundercats. I have to introduce my kids to good programming. Carmen Sandiego is on our local kids programming station and my kids love it. This makes me want to look up the old Inspector Gadget cartoons with Penny. Fun, fun.

Thundercats! I wish I saw those as a kid. I saw them a couple of years ago and was hooked. Great choice!
