Is it wrong that I want one?

wow awsome

I don't think I could wear a corset but they are neat to look at.

What is wrong with people that they'd make something like this? Its an innocent kid's show. Can't whoever makes stuff like this leave well enough alone?

I'm sorry @Leave a Whisper . I didn't really think of it that way. I've seen so much worse. This seemed acceptable. I really dislike what they've done with art and fan fiction for mlp and miraculous. I guess they are free to do whatever they want, but if I was Hasbro, I'd be putting a smackdown. The corset seemed tame as it was modeled in the first photo I saw by a plus size woman with a solid colored dress underneath that was downright modest. If I could handle going to Comic-Con and such it's an outfit I'd feel comfortable in. I really don't like being hit on. (It happens way more often than you'd think), so the dress made it more old-fashioned and almost demure compared to most of what I saw at the one Comic-Con I went to. Age appropriate. I didn't consider the mis-uses.

Dear @Tak You don't need to apologize for something someone else made. I just have very strong opinions to certain fanmade content and the sorts of people it caters too.

Now some shows can and do lend themselves quite naturally to more mature, or dark themes. Avatar The Last Airbender for example already has pairings and touches on political themes, genocide, oppression, child abuse, the impacts of war, revenge, doing whatever it takes to survive and spirituallity.

But some cartoons do not. This is one of them.

Yikes I really don't know what to make of that. I am a loss for words really. I never did understand why women had to wear these back in the day. Many ended up deformed and some even died. It is like a torture device for women. I don't think I would ever wear one personally, not even for fun. It seems like all throughout history women have suffered a lot with things society felt they had to wear in order to be perfect/sexy/skinny/pump up the boobs so to speak. What is this person trying to say by using ponies on an item like this? My mind swirls all over the place. It is kind of like I can't stand the over sexualized costumes for women like Hello Kitty- short skirt almost half naked sexy outfit look, Strawberry Shortcake the same thing. There should not be a sexualized representation in clothing for women from Children's cartoons. It just makes me a little sad. I would much rather have a full, plush Hello kitty costume not a short skirt with a bra. This just makes me think of that. However, if you love it that is perfectly okay for you to love it.

Neither did I - actually, the first thought that came to mind was the corset ponies that some customizers made several years ago. I still see one every now and then.

I think it's a beautifully made garment - depending on the accompanying clothing, corsets can look classy as opposed to sexy. ;) But I understand the reasoning behind negative reactions. When you think about it, putting ponies on underwear is a little... bizarre.

My daughter had mlp fim panties when she was 2. Motivation for potty training. :snowman:

Sorry, I should have specified adult underwear. I had Hello Kitty panties when I was her age myself, lol.

After her, there's no way I could think of 'sexy' in the same sentence as 'ponies'... I don't think I ever did.

I rem when corsets were popular on custom ponies. I understand theres a place or a time for things. I know its ok for some to like that stuff but I don't think that style is for me. I agree with Tula women have been tortured enough.

I have quite a bit of loose skin left over from pregnancy. No amount of exercise or creams help. I'm sure that they could surgically remove the extra loose skin, but even if I could I wouldn't. A corsetted dress or the '50's style with a fitted bodice and flared skirt look best. I was in ballet when young and I don't do anything tight anymore, but it's nice to feel pretty with a twirly skirt sometimes. (I'm such a kid at heart).

Oh my goodness the way this read to me is so freaking funny I am dying over here. I am remembering back to what my niece did as a child after getting a stomach virus when she came to my house for the weekend. I think in general it is just putting ponies on certain garments that gives me the odd feeling inside I can't shake. I agree with you @Tak I adore 1950's style dresses. They are so glamorous. Have you checked out the Mod Cloth website. They have some really awesome clothes on that site.

I'll definitely check them out. My days of sheath dresses ended with my girl.

Don't you find it amazing how celebrities are always super thin after having their babies for the most part. Not all of them but many of them return to these fabulous bodies. I guess if you have tons of money and don't mind starving to death you can do almost anything lol. And you can do anything right after having a baby. My mother said after she had me it took her a few months to feel human again. My friend had all three of her girls and dealt with depression some so, I wonder how it is that some people just bounce back and are running around the city the day they gave birth. Amazing.

I find it creepy. I took 2-3 months to get into the new routine comfortably. I lost all the weight I gained, but my genetic predisposition for stretch marks left excess skin. I have stretch marks from puberty.

My body never has been the same after I gave birth either. I was a "house" too at the time I gave birth. :/ Man that was a super stressful time of my life being a new mom with a baby.
I went up recently doesn't help with the holiday season being here now. I got my battle scars like everbody else. Maybe I would try A line dresses they would be better. :) They aren't sheath like. Mod cloth looks awesome. But I only go online to buy mostly ponies.
