I bought some ponies recently and there is a G3 Applejack in excellent condition. But she has no hoof heart and no magnet, white hoof cover. I looked up all the ID sites I know, but I haven't found a release like this so far. Only 2 releases are listed. I'm in Europe. Could it be an European release? I have a no magnet Sweetberry as well, but she is on the sites. Her hoof cover is also white.

Over here in the UK I don’t think I’ve seen a white hoof over on any of my ponies? She looks way too perfect to suggest she could have been damaged and the heart came off. I only have a theory to think did her pervious owner wipe the heart off and put in a really good fanmade good cover over her missing magnet. If so, I want some of those covers

I have wondered before also what do the Basic Fun G3s look like on hooves and if they have their magnets… but she has a heart as BF too
I’ll follow this thread because I am interested too

All the ponies I bought in this bundle are all intact and nice condition, even the charms are on Winter Snow and Butterscotch, so I don't think they were tampered with. And she's not BF as it is not available in Hungary, and the hoof marks are regular.
Below I attach the picture of no magnet-no hoof heart Sweetberry, her hoof looks like exactly the same. So I think Applejack never had a hoof heart and magnet, because of the white cover. I believe it indicates that the magnet and hoof heart are missing on purpose. All the hoof covers containing a magnet are pink.
http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/G3_Swe...ms_2006_with_Peach_Surprise_and_Baby_Tea_Lily here is described that the 2008 release has no magnet.
But Applejack has only 2 releases listed. Plus, these 2 releases according to Strawberryreef are some discount chain exclusives, but none of them were present in Hungary (of course these ponies could come from anywhere). (Another side note that I have a G4 Canterlot light-up Pinkie Pie that is also listed as Target exclusive, but there is no Target. However, some of these ponies are showing up on local Marketplace ads. So maybe there is another release in Europe that are not listed.)
I hope we can figure out which Applejack is she.:satisfied:

This is so strange… I do quite like the white hoof caps actually. They look really nice

I do kind of wish there are white hoof caps to buy to say there’s no magnet as a couple of my childhood ones could do with those

The case of the missing hoof heart continues. I can’t find anything even close to her online either

EDIT:
I can’t find anything on the missing heart but I found this thread from 2015 saying it was the switchover to no magnets. Still nothing on the missing heart though. I wonder if this was them trying to figure out if to keep it or not because of no magnets?

We have a good little BF identification guide that @MustBeJewel put together here. ;)

As for the hoof question, unfortunately I am no help as I’m not a G3 collector and my knowledge is limited. However, based on the gap in her hoof and the white hoof I wouldn’t put it past a previous owner to have replaced the magnet. But then again, I’m no G3 collector nor am I a G3 expert. But @BethMcBeth or @MustBeJewel may have some input with your AJ. <3

Found helpful previous threads! :D
I found a few of these, apparently white ones were used when Hasbro was phasing out magnets! :winkpony:

I think we was on the same threads at the same time just now since I also edited and linked the same! Oh wow, so the Morning Glory has no hoof heart either? I guess Hasbro thought about scrapping the hearts with the magnets

I was actually reading up on the magnets. They said it posed a choking hazard for young children, so they started to remove the magnets. And the hearts (that indicated the hoof with magnet) became hangers to show that this pony can wear the same accessories as that pony.

It's possible the pony above was created when they stopped using magnets

Thanks everyone, these topics are really helpful! So it seems that around 2007-2008 Hasbro decided to say good bye to the magnets, but they kept the original poses, and replaced the pink covers with white. I've seen a Cotton Candy as well, and she's from 2008. Maybe my Applejack was released around this time again. But the question is still open: which release is it? :lolpony: All of other ponies have info on the sites.

Okay so, Ive found info on the wiki about some ponies being rereleased in 2008 with white hoof magnets. For example, the Morning Glory mentioned in the second link i listed, it states on the wiki:

"Morning Glory is a G3 adult earth pony. She was released once in Year Five (2007), in the Cutie Cascade Ponies set, and rereleased in 2008 on the International scene with Sweet Summertime listed as her name, this version has no hoof heart and a white magnet cover."

So its likely your AppleJack was a rerelease in 2008 that just isnt listed on the wiki. It could be a lesser known rerelease. :0 Im just as hard pressed to try and find the International Morning Glory as well, they seem harder to look up?

This Applejack is a G3, second released version. It was during the time when Hasbro went away from the magnets. As the molds were made to include magnets plastic caps were added in to fill the hole in the hoof. :) She looks to be in great condition too!
I think I figured out in which year this Applejack released. I found this: https://www.toysisters.com/g3-my-little-pony-spring-fever/ Spring Fever released with Applejack in the Tea Party set, and on this page there is a 2008 release without magnet. My Applejack might be part of that set. EDIT: Or just a 2008 single release, but the year should be 2008.
So you are right.
