So, I'm closing the gap on completing the US collection and I find myself torn with feelings of excitement and a little sadness. Collecting ponies has been a big part of my life and I know that there are internationals and some accessories and merchandise to continue to keep me busy but I'm sure my buying will decrease (which my checking account will appreciate, no doubt). My goal of completing the US collection has been something I've slowly worked towards for so long the idea of getting there seems so exciting (I'm already planning a party for it LOL) but at the same time it's like, but then what? I caught myself speeding up cause I was getting so close but then I was like, slow down, spread out the fun for another couple years. I dunno, I got 22 more to go, no super rare ones left, I could stretch that out for a while or I could probably be done by next year sometime. I guess I just wonder what it will be like once this lifelong dream comes to fruition. I figure I'll move on to internationals but the idea of trying to get every pony ever made is just unrealistic so I'm just going to pick out ones I like. I love merchandise so can focus on that and accessories but I feel like that won't be as entirely thrilling as my previous goal but who knows, I guess we'll just wait and see!
You guys ever have these thoughts? Anyone who has completed the US collection, what did you focus on after that? Did you still enjoy collecting as much?
