CONVENTION Pony Friends Forever Convention - 2022!

I've done wearable character badges/nametags like this at other conventions, but never for a pony event. I think making ponysona badges could be a lot of fun! I might bring my portable laminator and art supplies with me in case anyone wants one made on the spot. I'd like to make one for myself, but I'm always a little torn on what my ponysona actually is, haha.
Hah, I feel that! I've been working on a new ponysona myself for months, I keep going back and forth. I just came up with another design this morning that I really like, I'm deliberating with myself on if I'm going to keep this one.

Also that would be a really cool experience haha, though I do plan to do my own if I choose to do the lanyard thing.

Ill be dressed up in costume everyday, so itll be kinda odd to wear my pony when im being a whole different pony lol but who knows
Ooh! I'm not sure if you've mentioned it yet but I'm so curious to know what costumes you have planned. :lolpony:

I'm gonna out myself here but I think the badge art is more of a furry convention thing. There's a lot more emphasis on individual characters since the furry fandom is just about anthropomorphic animals and not a specific franchise. So people make them to be recognized at conventions.

That said, I think they're fun and I don't see any reason people can't do their ponysona/fav pony for a pony convention. There are a lot artists that sell really nice custom ones too.

That is where I found out about it too, to be fair, from some of the furry artists I followed for a while. They really seemed to get into it, I was surprised to see how many commissions an artist was getting when they offered the full printed setup and everything. It seemed really cool and fun though! And I've heard there's a whole thing about keeping lanyards and badges and stuff from each convention you go to, including some pony art on it might make it even more special.

The main reason I'm wondering about it though actually is for the recognizeability - I can be really bad with names, but avatars and personas are a lot easier.

I mean, you get a standard lanyard with the convention pony on it that you can put your name on, so if you wanted to add something to it, ya can :)

Ye, I might. Still thinking about it haha
Speaking of which, do the lanyards have the PFF logo on them or anything, that you know of? I keep imagining them kinda like some of the merch, with the logo printed all over it.

Not the best pic but:
This was last year

Yes very true
My guy is small, so I can carry when needed/wanted. I’m supposed to get a mobility support dog instead, but Wesley’s my boy. Airports, planes, hospitals, the county fair, a comic-com, he’s gotten me through it all!

I’m bad with names and faces… I’m definitely adding a big TAK to my lanyard. I would buy a little artwork of our ponysonas to put in there, too, but it is beyond my own skills to make…. *must bug daughter to draw more ponies*

I don't think I have enough to go this year, unfortunately. I'd want to vend, and I don't want to make rush decisions with money I don't know that I'll have to spare. I'll for sure save up for next year!

I ordered my table this morning! Although I do not have the funds at the moment to order tickets for myself and my helper so I hope it's ok that I order those later.
yes , just try to secure the tickets as soon as possible if you want the Blue bonnet or deluxe bundle (they are limited)

from facebook 'Only one table is available in the vendor hall! If you are interested in selling ponies, please secure your table as soon as possible. There will be a wait list going up, as soon as the last one is sold. The waitlist does not guarantee you will get a table. Hotel room block has filled, but we are working with the hotel to get more block rates open for attendees! Special guests, and event exclusive figure and merchandise will be revealed in the next few weeks! We hope to see you this fall!'

Thanks Clipper!

By the way, I'm actually rather confused what kind of ticket I need to order if I want to get Tradewinds. Can you tell me more about that? Will she be available for purchase at the convention table as well or is she only available through certain ticket tiers?

I've actually been kinda wondering similar things, but as far as I understand from talking to Clipper last week, the Blue Bonnet package gets the Sun Twins and a special pony that's not been announced yet. Dunno who it'll be yet, but the announcement should be dropping soon! Clipper had mentioned they were getting the samples in soon, so it's apparently going to be a new design of some sort. But I believe the twins and the special silver Tradewinds will be available at the convention itself.

Yes this is correct! We will be releasing some teaser artwork soon. I recommend getting the blue bonnet package. Diamond and regular tradewinds, tote bag (from last year) and twins will be available in limited numbers from last year. Also the new pony being offered in Diamond package and two new tote bags will be offered in limited numbers at the pff merch table. :)

Ah I see! Well, I'm interested in the silver-haired Tradewinds but I really want to get the original pink hair one too. I hope she will be available too.
Both will be available at the pff shop :)

sorry trying to catch up (using my iPhone so hard to reply to everyone). The lanyard (with name tag) given in the packages needs to be worn throughout the entirety of the event (it's your ticket for the event). But I don't see an issue either having an additional lanyard or something else that clips on it with a drawing of your persona and name. I do have one with clipper and my real name on it that I plan to wear this year (if I don't forget to bring it!)

@Tak sorry I meant blue bonnet package. It was called Diamond last year because of the special tradewinds

We are working on getting another room block started with the final rooms available at the drury plaza location for $130
A night. Once these 16 rooms are taken the hotel block will be completely sold out.

We will potentially be looking into another room block at an adjacent hotel once the block is completely filled.

Once these are available, please do not wait to reserve your room if you wish to stay in the official PFF hotel.

Link will be updated shortly.
