Animal Crossing is a series of video games, the most recent, New Horizons, was for the Switch, and was about escaping to a deserted island, which you could endlessly customise and decorate with cute animal friends, and invite other players over to see your island. It came out right when the lockdown started in March and broke records for games sold in a single month.

No, I've never played. But every Discord server I'm on has at least one channel devoted to talk about the game, so I'm conversant.

It's funny, I'm usually either the oldest or the youngest person in any forum by a couple decades, so I'm constantly seeing pop-culture references that Aren't For Me. I think this is the only hobby where I'm surrounded by age-peers!
