So I found this lass tonight at the thrift store.

Anyone have any ideas on what playset this might’ve come with. I know only of the single release of the Magic Ribbon line. I’ve never known them to come in any play sets and I’ve not seen the “1” marking in the rear right hoof.

I have searched Hasbro’s media release for 2015-2020 and see no sets that came with a yellow piece or a playset that came with this Rarity.

Now my question becomes was this just the ol’ Hasbro throwing in overstock into whatever play sets in a factory to get rid of stuff? Is it a mistake? Where did she come from?

If anyone knows anything that would be awesome!

If you don't know then I really don't know. That's super interesting! I will look into it.

Ya she’s super weird.

At first glance she was in a bag with a bunch of other toys and I wasn’t going to grab her because I didn’t want to pay for random stuff. Then I realized she was in a sealed factory bag with the weird playset piece.

Both myself and my friend spent about three hours scouring the internet last night looking for info. I suspect she’s just a random “throw the left overs together” kinda deal but I need to know her story.

I’m probably also going to cast a net out into the “blue book” zone and see if maybe someone there may know something too. So perplexed.

It’s definitely strange to see her bagged like that! I wonder if she’s been rebagged by someone, only because Hasbro was pretty good about shipping the ponies out with their tails in little tape loops, and their hair banded down somehow. This looks kind of messy, like maybe even a factory worker grabbed her out of the reject pile? No clue about what that yellow piece is either!

It's difficult to see in the photos, but she does have old elastic around the leg where I suspect her hair once was held nicely. But since this came from a large chain thrift store it's been knocked around a lot and so her hair is a mess. The bag also has sticker residue from likely being adhered to the inside of a box too, I have yet to wipe that clean off though.

My trying to move her about in the bag I am sure also doesn't help, but it is a definite factory sealed bag because that was my first thoughts too. My heart is always very skeptical when I find things like this so I am never set on anything.

Can you tell what the yellow piece is supposed to be?

It looks to me like it's some sort of chair swing, or something (like you'd see on a ski hill, or a ferris wheel playset). Definitely an odd find, though.
That could be it, I thought it was like a wishing well or something

It looks like half a basket. Maybe from a hot air balloon?

@Skybreeze It looks like a replacement part and possibly bonus pony. Hasbro normally sends an additional toy with a replacement part to make up for customer care concerns. The part might not even be from the MLP line. Given the excess of the the Ribbon versions it wouldn’t surprise me. ;)
