Hi All!
I joined MLPTP in late 2017, but Life quickly overwhelmed me and I’m not sure now whether I ever introduced myself, so I’m doing so today just in case.
I began pony collecting as a child, with the original six G1s. I stopped collecting after 1986. While visiting my mom a couple of years ago, she brought out my My Little Ponies and Show Stable for my daughter to play with. Seeing those colorful, cheerful ponies again, combing and braiding their hair, and playing with them with my daughter rekindled my interest and I brought them home with me. I also began poking around on eBay—just to see what I missed in the years between 1986 and my daughter’s first ponies purchased in 2014. What a surprise! I began seriously collecting and since then, I have acquired ponies from all four generations, including some from Europe, the UK, one from Brazil, and several customs. I began restoring ponies and soon had a small eBay business going to fund some of my purchases. My husband—an exceptional thrifter—and my daughter jumped in to help and build their own collections. Our small house is now filled to bursting with ponies!
I’m delighted to be a part of this community and, while my participation will likely come in fits and spurts, I look forward to getting to know you!
