I don't get the appeal of the Funko Pops with their soulless eyes and weird giant square heads.

The only Funkos I have are ones gifted to me but I never ask for them. The only one I got myself is one that actually looked decent. Very rare for me, and it was the first and what I thought would be only (until given some). And I only have one I actually said yes to didn’t quite look Pop and was a keychain. I don't hate my gifts, but they’re not the ugliest ones thankfully. I have 3 plus a keychain. No, they’re not the soul-less ponies. I look after my gifted ones as they are from someone very dear to me but I make a point to everyone else “no Pop vinyls!”
The style bothers me. They’re everywhere and the style, I don’t see the appeal either. What’s also a bother is a local small business who deals in pretty much just Pops (and the occasional Loungefly bag, I have no problem with those but didn’t know they was also Funko until then) just opened locally and my sister really thinks I’m interested in that until I told her how much they bother me…

Yeah, funko pops can be pretty creepy alright... Although, I really like the bulbasaur one! I got it as a christmas gift a few years ago!
Other than that, for the most part, I don't like them at all. However, I am SOMEHOW in a possesion of 5 funko pops lol.. They were all gifts though so I kept them

I haven’t any pictures on me of them at the moment but I can show which ones I have. It turns out I forgot one so I have four plus a keychain
I first got the Ryuk (Death Note) one many years ago myself. It actually looked decent and it was around the time I couldn’t get any anime figures in person
Then my little sister gave me Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul) for Christmas even though I said no Pop Vinyls but I think she forgot. Thank goodness he’s a decent one
My dear best friend gave me her Touka (Tokyo Ghoul) because she was sorting out her figures and knew I would take good care of her. Unfortunately I broke her stand during a dusting…
Then another Christmas my little sister got me Joyce Byers (Stranger Things) forgetting I said no Pops again. Joyce has attacked me in the early hours of the morning jumping off my shelf at me and breaking her own arm. Your loss, Joyce
And finally, my favourite, keyring Demogorgan (Stranger Things) from my dear best friend! She asked if I would make an exception and indeed, it’s actually a pretty good one! It makes a great pet for Upside-Down Applejack (photo)

I hate the soulless eyes, square heads, and same face syndrome of the funkos. I hate that they dominated the vinyl figure industry so much that it became near impossible to find anything interesting without having to import it. I hate that they overproduce so much that stores that stock them eventually have to sell them at a loss and the rest in end up in landfills.
Their mlp molds are not bad, but the dead eyes? Blech
