Septima's Collection Thread - Working on the display

I finally took all my ponies out of their boxes! :lolpony:

I really forgot a collection is actually so. Much. Work! It took me one full day in total just to take everypony out and put them on shelves in some kind of order! There's still a lot of organizing ahead, and I'll need additional stands so the ponies in back rows are visible. Almost all my G1s need a good cleaning and absolutely everypony needs mane and tail washing and styling. The one shelf which is finished is probably my small version of Ponyville!

But I also found out that four of my most favorite G1s - Bow Tie, Fizzy, Peachy and Sundance - have brown dots that look like pony cancer or pindot mold  I'm not so sure about Peachy's brown spots, but everypony will be thoroughly cleaned. They'll also be my first experience in removing such spots, so I'll try to do what I can.

We love to see the Minty's front and center! \^~^/ :greenheart: :minty:
And I love 3.5 mini Ponyville!!! it's soooo cute!!! XD

I'm not actively collecting right now, but I'm still picking up a pony or two from time to time. And yesterday I got a very lovely Lily Lightly!

She's never been my favorite, but something about her finally caught my eye. She's more beautiful in real life than on the photos (even though a little too much pink :lolpony:). Also, she's almost in perfect condition: she's clean, her dress is also clean and untorn, everything works and her hair seems to be never brushed at all or a little, because the tinsel is straight even at the ends. The only thing wrong with her is that she's missing one eyelash on her left eye, but I think I can fix it.

Slowly working on my pony display. Yesterday I got clear stands for my G1-G3 ponies and put them on the shelves. We have a firm that makes all kinds of stuff for shops to display their goods, and you can order stands in any size and shape you need. They look like this:

So here's before and after:

I got two-storey stand for G1s as they're bigger than G3s, and three-storey stand for G3s. I left some space between ponies, because I don't like when they stand too close to each other, so there's even some place if I'll want to add a new pony or two :) I'll probably rearrange ponies when I'll start washing and cleaning them, but I already like how it looks :)

I also used two stands I already had to set late G3s and G3.5s. I'm still not sure how to display MIBs - there are not so many of them, but I still don't know whether to put them all together (from all gens) or keep on their generation's shelf.

Shelves with G4s and G5s are messy, so there's still a lot of work to do :)

We love to see de Mintys!

Wow!! The ponies look great on those display stands. I love the way you put some of the ponies with their tails facing toward the 'viewer,' instead of their heads. It looks great. Plus all those sweet bows and hairstyles!! The stands are great, but having such well-cared for ponies on display really makes it!! :redheart:

I'm jealous you have a place that sells display materials like that nearby. It's got to be so nice to see the size of the items and think about how they will fit your goods before purchasing, compared to the sort of gamble that buying these things online can be!

Those stands are *perfect* for displaying ponies! How lucky you can get them in the dimensions you need!
Your shelves look great
Thank you! :redheart:

Of course, she's one of my favorite ponies :ponylove:

Thank you very much! In my opinion, some poses look even better this way. Almost every pony needs cleaning after being in storage, but some will definitely keep their bows and hairstyles

I ordered them online, we unfortunately don't have such store nearby to see. I have already ordered stands for my Schleich horses from them some time ago, so I know this firm is good. They have different kinds of stands for all purposes in standart size, but if you need a bigger or smaller one you can give them measurements and they'll make it for you, though it will be more expensive. I'm also interested if they will last long and if they won't bend under ponies' weight.

I should have known such a store in real life was too good to be true.. LOL. I am also curious if they will hold up! Please do update us if anything changes with them, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will hold up well!
