Septima's Collection Thread - Working on the display

This was my first Minty!
I got her in a Happy Meal in 2003!
I don't own her anymore and miss her dearly! she's #2 on my wish list!
(#1 spot goes to G5 Minty!)

She's my newest minty! I love her so much!
I really love all of the Little Ponyville ponies and playsets!
I'm hoping to start a Ponyville playset collection!
My favorite sets are the sweets themed ones!
And I hope to gather as many 3.5 mintys as I can to live in my tiny Candyland!

I love Ponyville playsets, too :) My favorites are pony houses like Pinkie Pie's Balloon house or Sweetie Belle's Gumball house. I'd like to have this one with Christmas tree!

Yeah the toys are super easy to find! and dirt cheap too right now! it's the accessories you really got to look for!
Luckily they reuse the same ponyville plastic molds for G4 so you can steal from G4 to decorate your ponyville village! :p

Yes, the acsessories might be hard to find. G3s and G3 playsets are uncommon in my country, so it's even harder :sadpony: I was surprised when I found La-Ti-Da Hair&Spa set with the pony and all the acsessories, it was probably sold from a pony collector.
 
@Mintyeon, I was inspired by your photos and then remembered I once saw the Ponyville Christmas tree on OLX (that's something like our local eBay). I found the listing, contacted the seller, and it was still available! :minty:

And I also got some Newborn Cuties a bit earlier. I don't need all of them, so some probably will be for sale after a good bath.

I got my first First Tooth pony, baby Bouncy!

Unfortunately I don't have any "before" pictures, but she had a tail rust, dirty hooves and nose, scratches on her right eye and rubbed off paint on her tooth. I cleaned her tail, removed rusty washer and repainted her eyes and tooth. Also, her hair was dry and straight, so I washed it with hair conditioner and curled it. Now it totally matches her name! :lolpony: Now baby Bouncy is almost in perfect condition and I like her very much, she's so cute!

I also got a G2 Hip Holly, but she's still drying after cleanup, so here are "before" pictures:

As you can see, she had a tail rust (and it turned out worse that it looked!), and she was probably the hardest pony for me to clean. However, she's absolutely gorgeous and turned out really well, and I can't wait to reinstall her eye gems and take some "after" photos!

Wow Hip Holly looks amazing!! I can’t wait to see her restored! You did such a great job with Baby Bouncy, you are really talented. I can tell you enjoy the process. :smile:

Thank you, I really do enjoy the process! I used to just wash and style my ponies, but now as I'm not afraid of opening them, I prefer to clean and restore them properly :)
 
I love Hip Holly so much. I wish they had done a couple more like her!
 
Hip Holly is cleaned up! I really like how she turned out, her colors are so bright!

I've also reinstalled her missing eye gems. They're a bit bigger than original ones and probably not the right shade of green, but I'm okay with that :) I replaced metal washers in her tail with plastic zip ties, so no more tail rust! They're also almost invisible.

Now I know that G2s are significally harder to clean. Their plastic is harder, so it needs more heat to soften, and their tails are harder to reach. But, it totally worth it!

I know it doesn't look like ponies, but it's definitely pony related! I still need some details to attach the doors to two big shelves, and while I wait for them to arrive...

Thanks to my husband who assembled the display for me :ponylove:I still can't believe I finally have a special place for my collection, all my ponies are still in boxes since I moved to another city in 2018. Now I have a lot of unpacking, cleaning and styling ahead :lolpony: Left shelf will be for ponies (approximately one shelf for a generation), right will be for playsets with the big shelf specially for a Canterlot castle, and central will probably be for non-pony stuff as I want to keep all my ponies away from sun and dust. I'll also need small clear shelves a bit later so all the ponies will be visible. Can't wait to put everything together!

Thank you! My ponies and stuff were in boxes for so long that I don't exactly remember what I have :rofl: And even though I've added all the ponies to the checklist, I'm pretty sure I missed somepony, so I have to recheck everything, too :lolpony:

Look who arrived today - my first So Softs Wind Whistler and Buttons!

@bluerose9978, thank you for making my dream come true! :satisfied: I've never seen a single So Soft pony on sale in my country, G1s overall are very rare here. I absolutely love Wind Whistler's pose, and her hair is still pink! Buttons needs brushing after a long road. Though there are some flocking rubs, they're mostly on NDS sides and overall ponies are in amazing shape and even have bows on their tails. I'm happy as a kid right now :lolpony:
