How lovely!! So colorful! I love how you put a variety of ponies together but some are grouped by pose on the bottom shelf. Same situation as Draco where the different sizes/lengths of the shelves adds so much!!! Maybe I need to look into something like this!! Look at all those adorable baby ponies!View attachment 73278
This is my display area. This isn't everyone, and I need to rearrange after some recent adoptions. Need to get risers for my babies, too
I think our ponies and plushies enjoy creative solutions, especially if they include upcycling! And our wallets probably do, too.I’ve been using mini Pringles cans for a few of my plushies on my shelf as risers… luckily you can’t see them behind all my others in front of them
OMG yes it is!! i was hoping someone would notice!! im so happy you like them!! >ww<Wow!! Thank you for all the responses!!
Thank you!! In the future I would like to make Misty's area more like the Bridlewoodstock stage and add Zipp and Pipp to the area. I tried to give it a small Bridlewood feel. I didn't even think about color changing LEDs!!! That would be so fun!!! I'm sure Miku looks amazing with the fun lights
@Sassarazzmadazzles Your pony room is amazing!!! I especially love how you were able to display 'loose' ponies with NIB ponies. I find that is something I struggle to balance, but it looks great in your display!! Thank you for sharing!!
@The Cleo Collector I am in awe over your Rarity collection!!! Wow!!! It looks so amazing!! Is it a lot to maintain, or does it stay as it is now that Rarity merch is harder to find? Thank you!!
Thank you so much!! I'm obsessed with the G4 Build-A-Bears, they bring me so much joy Your collection looks amazing, I love that the clear acrylic means the main attraction is the ponies! Its so nice that they have enough space to be turned to show their cutie marks, too. You mentioned you have 13 more to collect. Are you aiming to get just one of every character, or are there just 13 more G4s that you are interested in?
Wow, @Draco!! Looks great!! The dynamic shelving unit is perfect, honestly. The ponies look so orderly and are able to be among a certain subsection of your collection, without looking too monotonous. The Bowties look wonderful. I especially love the smaller cubes with the Pretty Ponies, so cute! Thank you for sharing!!
@twinkleeyedshark I love all those cute hairstyles!! Love Melody especially looks way too cute!!! Do I spot the G1 'equivalents' to G4 together in the second picture as well? And styled like the show?! Wayyy too cute!!! I am obsessed!!!
Looking at all these ponies all cared for and arranged so nicely has really warmed my heart. And given me some ideas!!! Thank you all so much!!
the cats are aphmau mystery meemeows !! theyre little mystery box figurines ^__^ i have the taco one and the fries one!!!Thanks @Draco Your shelves are impressive! Love the little Applejack corner
@twinkleeyedshark very sweet collection. What are the little round cat figures in your first pic?
@ponyville 13 more characters. Maybe a few more will sneak in after
Nice collection @Twinkle-eye the baby ponies are so cute. I'm sure riser will really help visibility once you get some!
Absolutely love this!! You are doing a great job at maximizing your space here. I'm marveling a bit at your SS Buttons- this photo is making me realize mine might be more yellowed than I thought Lol!! Buttons looks so adorable here! In general your ponies look very well cared for. I love the Pinkie Pie art you have as well. Did you purchase it from Japan? I feel like I saw that collection on AmiAmi some time ago.Poor Applejack can't fit up there with everyone else, but other than that I'm really happy with it! Unfortunately I have exactly the amount of space for this amount of ponies and no more.

Thank you!!! I bought all my G1s in pretty bad condition at the flea market and it took a couple different cleaning attempts to get them looking the way they do, so that means a lot! I put off cleaning SS Buttons for so long because I was so afraid I was going to destroy her, but she turned out really good! She has a few stains that I can't tackle but they're not visible so it's okay.Absolutely love this!! You are doing a great job at maximizing your space here. That's amazing!! You did a great job restoring them!! Their hair looks amazing and they look so nice and clean, I didn't guess at all that they were previously in bad condition!Thank you!!! I did get the Pinkie Pie poster from AmiAmi actually! I missed out on the preorder for the acrylic stands (and because they're not manufactured by a Japanese company they're not on MFC so I'm having a hard time finding them...), but I wanted something from the collection because it's so cute. So I compromised by buying my fave pony!
Also, I looked at your collection image when I replied to your other post, and I love your set up as well! It's so cute to give the G5s a little field to hang out in.
I have those same little plants in white cups from Ikea, they're so cute!!View attachment 72942
Here are the lights in a fully dark room, @StormMaeker. The bottom set is more clearly seen as being brighter than the top set. It's a bit hard to photograph but it's enough light for me to see the ponies when I am in my room at night! The G5 ponies seem to benefit the most from the lighting situation- I love how they look!!
They are!! I love them! It's especially fun to cram all the baby ponies in there like they're having a giant party.@Jellybean Wow!! Amazing pictures!! Are those adorable pink houses Paradise Estates? I absolutely adore how you have displayed ponies in there.
LOL "hit with solid pony"Yes, the fake plants from Ikea have helped me diversify my shelves a bit, so you're not hit with solid pony
Thank you, I was really proud of that and I'm not confident I could draw something like it so easily nowadays! I made that very quickly during Pony Palooza 1999 at the Delaney's house, to show people where to park. The car's vanity plate says HOOF IT I'm pretty sure I still have it in a portfolio somewhere.I love the 'Park Here' illustration in the first image so much.
Thanks! I really like them organized that way too. It's really pleasing and feels less random? Eee, my four little MOC ponies, all bought as a set from a store in 2002 that was probably one of the last places in the US selling packaged G1 ponies on an aisle rack. It was a novelty and secondhand store so I'm sure they had found a box of old stock of MOC sparkle baby ponies and were selling them for $12.99 each. I don't keep or collect MOC ponies anymore but they're the exception, because they are a special momento of an incredible visit with pony friends.Your current display is so lovely. The ponies organized by color look so good!! I'm amazed that you added more shelves- I can't even tell! I love that you kept the MOC ponies on display, too. A great balance between displaying your amazing ponies and being considerate of others. The softies on top are adorable as well! The ponies have a great home with you!!
Same here!!I love looking at pony rooms they make me so happy
Oh, my goodness. These are so lovely!!! I especially love the 2nd and 3rd images, but all of them have so many wonderful ponies on display!! The mixed display of G1 ponies with other G1 items is so lovely. I also love how each softie has been displayed. I mostly see them among other softies, but here, they really look like giant soft versions of the toys. It is so. Cute!!! And can we talk about your Pretty Pony with the adorable bow in their hair? Thank you so much for showing me!! So wonderful!! And, room to grow is always a good thing, right?here are mine at the moment:
empty shelves are a result of some recent re-organization to make room for...future additions my g3 display is pretty much at max capacity so i'll be getting new shelves at some point so half of it isn't storage.
Yes, me as well!! Your pony room updates have given me so much joy!!! I will be patient but I really cannot wait to see more updates, and with everything moved back in. It's amazing to see how creative people are in their displays, and to see impressive and how well cared for their collections are!!I love looking at pony rooms they make me so happy
Oooooo, a fellow color-sorter! I love your glass shelf arrangements.here are mine at the moment:

Haha! I am more than willing! Pony Palooza was one of the first or maybe the first big MLP meetup after the online community developed in the late 90's. The Delaney family had one of the most complete known collections (my first exposure to a Pony Room ) and were active buyers/traders/sellers. They hosted it at their house where essentially everyone brought a suitcase of ponies and a lot of us slept on the floor in sleeping bags. We played games, made customs, traded ponies, had a custom contest, and played fakie golf. It was such a blast. I have a bunch of pictures that were on my (currently offline) pony website and a partial writeup I recently unearthed on a scratch notepad, I need to figure out the best way to share them.LOLing at "HOOF IT" Your post here is making me so curious, though. Pony Palooza at the Delaney's house? Drawing something like that on a whim?! I kind of need to know more, if you're willing! I'd also love to see more of your pony illustrations one day, if you have more, and again, if you're willing. And, my goodness, what a find with those MOC ponies!! Yes, sometimes a pony becomes more than just a toy you enjoy, and a memory of something bigger.
thank you very much! i don't have a lot of plushies, so they kind of looked odd in their own space. they also used to occupy one of the lower shelves on my main G1 display so moving them around opened that up. pretty pony's hair is known to be pretty stiff and limp so after i styled it i threw that bow on there, mostly to keep it out of her faceOh, my goodness. thanks! sorting by color is more pleasing to my eye and easier to deal with when i get a new addition, lolOooooo, a fellow color-sorter! I love your glass shelf arrangements.
i am fascinated. old pony meets must have been a blastand played fakie golf
Not off topic, we are talking about pony shelves in the Delaney family's pony room!! Lol!! A pony meet in someone's home is so fascinating. The first big pony meet, at that! That sounds so fun!! This also makes you a bit of a Pony Pioneer, of sorts. I've never been to a convention or meet. It's something I'd love to do one day, but that scene has surely changed so much since the Delaney pony meet. Thank you for sharing with me!!Haha! I am more than willing! Most of my pony art is from back then and needs to be uploaded somewhere again. I should make a thread of my old artwork...
Oops, going off topic! We now return you to your regularly scheduled pony shelves.
I think I will try displaying some of my pony plushies like this, with other pony "materials" around them. I am unlike you in that I have probably too many plushies, LOL, but I have always had trouble finding a proper way to display them!! Pretty Pony's bow is adorable AND functional. Just perfectthank you very much! i don't have a lot of plushies, so they kind of looked odd in their own space. they also used to occupy one of the lower shelves on my main G1 display so moving them around opened that up. pretty pony's hair is known to be pretty stiff and limp so after i styled it i threw that bow on there, mostly to keep it out of her face
