Haha, read through the whole thread and gotta say, I got a kick out of it. :biggrin:
There is definitely something about the way 80s and early 90s girl toys smell, not just MLP (not sure about boy's toys, can't really remember right now ). I bought a Lady Lovely Locks from eBay a while back, and she does have a nice scent about her. I remember one of my favorite things about getting a new Barbie was that "new doll" smell that they all had fresh out of the box. Yeah, I've been a toy sniffer since childhood too. Hmm, I wonder if other dolls like Jem also had that smell...
Specifically about MLP, yeah, G1s and G2s smell great. :biggrin: I don't have enough G1s for the smell to accumulate that much, but I do have a Baby Cotton Candy that I believe has precisely what people call "G1 smell". I used to keep her on my bedside table until my new cat decided she looked better on the floor and had to relocate her, but until then, sometimes when I was trying to sleep, her scent would make its way to me. It was kind of soothing, actually.
