MLPTP EVENT Soon It Will Be Too Late, Bobbing for Apples Can Wait (Bonus #3 Discussion)

Phew! Since I usually bring apples to work, I only had 4 apples left in the fridge! I got Mommy Apple Delight to stand up with a piece of tape in the back if anyone was curious. ^_^ Even though I've had to buy a couple things like candy and pie its kind of fun since it's the season. I've shared the candy with coworkers and enjoyed a piece of pie tonight with the bf. Sometimes it's hard finding time to go grocery shopping but at least the challenges are spaced out. Only thing is that when I do go shopping, I tend to spend on other things too. :x Love the pics everyone! I haven't gone bobbing for apples in years. :)

I'm glad to see those who are having difficulties are feeling a bit more encouraged now. Definitely go for the creative! My problem last year was when steps required people. Um, hubby and I live alone on a farm and for some reason no one was ever around when I needed a body. That's why I kept putting animals in the shots. It only got me sneaky points, but made for some cute pictures. This year so far I practically went dumpster diving to get a moldy pumpkin pie. My backup plan probably would have been gut the pumpkin we have now and use it's guts in a pie tin. Hey, it would have been pumpkin! :D

the store i went to had them for .98 a lb, four cost me $1.55.
could have bought some at the .99 cent store, but not sure how many come in a bag or if they had any. plus i prefer green over red.

it is fun, taking the pics and posing the ponies for the entry. just wish i dont have to buy something for it all the time. so far its just been two events that required me to spend money on, almost three, i found enough candy. but i didnt do the pie, too expensive.
 
I think the others are right, it's about the fun, and if you get too serious you can start to lose the fun.

There's always a step with a cat, and I have dogs, rats and rabbits. I just tried for the sneaky points and managed to raise a laugh.

Go for it and enjoy the challenges, be creative and most of all take part in the spirit of fun and freindship.

For this round, I have done apple dooking, which is what we call apple bobbing over here in Scotland. Traditionally, we use a fork held in our teeth and drop it into the basin to spear an apple. It is MUCH harder than being allowed to use your teeth.

That's why my ponies are using a fork, they're Scottish apple dookers.

I’m shocked that you all are complaining about having to work for something with such great prizes. These prizes have been donated by wonderful TP mods and members who had to pay for them out of their own pocket. If this hunt were easy, then everyone would win. The whole point of it is to be creative and go out outside of your comfort zone. There are ways around having to buy things but you might have to challenge yourself.

This is a contest and it will get tougher as we are half way through the hunt. The point is to have fun so please do not bring down the rest of the pack. ^!!^
 
Im having tons of fun with this! ^_^ I have missed 2 of the photos cuz I didnt have the $ for the "props" but I am still praticapting (sp) cuz I am having so much fun! As many have stated this is for fun and we shouldnt be complaining. Cant wait for the next step to start:cathorny:
 
Sorry ahead of time for how big the pic is Wolfie!! :oops: No one was around to help me re-size it before the posting time ended and for some reason thats as small as photobucket would let me go.

On a lighter note, the cats had a blast bobbing for apples! :lol:
 
Oh man! I thought I was going to miss this one! Luckily though I scored a trip to Safeway today.
The apples were huge! and Magicstar kept like... floating like a deadman in the water XD
I finnally got her to behave by filling her up with water.. voala! Swimming bobbing pony :p

This has been a lot of fun.
The only reason I was able to get a pie was cuz my freind made them for her birthday (omg.. homemade...mmmm!!!!!!)
otherwise I was going to go for some sneaky ^^

im not complaining or whining about the challenges. i am having fun with them and taking the pics. im in it for fun, but if by some chances i do win, then yay. if not, then it was all out of fun. it would also make it easier on some of us who are able to do some challenges that doesnt require spending money. and i dont want to feel like im getting scolded for having the pic be wrong cause i didnt use or do what the hunt asked us to do.
again, sorry, not complaining or whining, just not able to do most of these if they require me to spend money to do them.
