In my defense pinkie pie eating the cake on the hat is Adorable!

LOL why do we need a defense?! Is Pinkie Pie violating the pony cake sharing law? Wait, I bet there's some kind of pony law against eating cake if it's on someone's hat!
It's because I violated the sister's code and voted for someone else!
That was my defense!
She would have won had I voted for her!

Congrats @MonsterIceCream! :Flutter3:And it really was a close race-everyone had some great designs!

Congratulations @MonsterIceCream !! :lolpony::popper::bunny::chick::flowerbouquet: The cake is so well done!!!

Thank you to everyone who voted or just liked mine, It means a lot <3 <3 I had been planning a chocolate bunny hat since last october but wasnt sure how it would look until the contest started. It went through a few iterations of ears, trying to make the whole thing half a bunny, etc and i settled on a little pony size chocolate bun!! Fleecy also wanted to model so I could hardly say no. I will unfortunately have to remove the eggs eventually tho since theyre candy. I can always replace them tho again later. Lets give a moment of respect for the chocolate bunny i sacrificed to sit on the ground.... or perhaps.. i saved it since it wont be eaten  I could probably set it free and put it in the woods to roam

I couldnt figure out what I wanted my second bonnet to be, until it finally hit me!! Ill make it clear lol! My fave aesthetic, clear sparkles from the 90s/00s :tongue:Funny enough I made it from a plastic toothbrush package, hot glue, clear glue, nail polish, and super glue. The brim of the hat and butterfly were cut from the plastic packaging. The top of the hat i made by actually stretching a thin plastic bag tightly over the end of a badminton ball, tied it with a rubber band to keep it tight, then I painted about 4 coats of clear elmers glue around the ball for a base. Then when that dried I put 4 or 5 coats of clear top coat nail polish on top of that. When it dried, i took off the rubberband, removed it from the ball, and the plastic bag peeled right off from the inside leaving me with a crystal clear half ball! I trimmed it to the height i needed and applied to the brim with clear glue. The flowers and leaves I made by making rows of dots and shapes with a hot glue gun on a zip lock bag. I painted with my fave sparkly nail polish and then cut them out and assembled them as flowers on dots of clear glue on the same plastic bag. When dry i peeled them off as whole flowers and was able to super glue them onto the hat! :D The butterfly was done with my fave black and rainbow speck nail polish and a black fineliner pen. Im super proud, it was tricky! :ponylove: I only wish the sun had been out more to show off the sparkles!!

I voted for number five! The baby Firefly and chicks were so cute I couldnt resist i ruminated on it for almost two days and just couldnt pass it up! The blue chick on top plucked my heart strings! :twohearts:

Gosh the amount of talent with all these entries is crazy!!!! Everyone did such an amazing job!!! Ill say more in detail once my phone isnt 2% @_@" but wow yall, everyone did amazing!!! Im chasing my phone battery tryina post this lol

Aw, thanks! Would it surprise you to learn that the bonnet itself is made of painted cardstock?

Congratulations on the win, @MonsterIceCream! Well deserved!

Aww thank you! :satisfied: I had fun trying to sculpt it to fit her just right around her big swoosh of hair and all the animals seemed appropriate cause it’s fluttershy:D

#6: @ActionHank you out did yourself!! That was an elaborate display and I loved it!!
Everyone really did a fantastic job! I was torn between #1 @Mintyeon, #6 @ActionHank, #7 @dragonlady and #8 @strawberrypony32 in the end I went with #7 cause I have a nostalgic thing for those sugar eggs but it was so hard cause they were all really cute!!!
Huzza people liked my thing, ma made the hats and stuff so she should get most of the credit but since she's not on the board right now I shall take all of it!

@Mintyeon your bunny hat is so cute, at first I couldn't figure out why the bunny had no eyes! Then I realized it was a bunny BUTT hat, and I cracked up!! It's very well made, and the flowing ribbon tie just adds such an air of elegance! A great blending of whimsy and beauty, great job as always!!

@my little pony collector I loved your hat as well, the little knit bird on top is just adorable! It took me a few passes to realize that you added in the rainbow flowers from Izzy Moonbow's flower crown set, I love that! It really makes it look like the hat belongs to her - like she could have crafted it herself!

@raindroplovesponies the cluster of birds and flowers with the elegant ribbon tie makes this a perfect hat for spring, and the choice for your model pony is perfect as well!! Your doubled ribbon tails at the back are also so lovely!! I could definitely see this as a real pony accessory!

@OctoberMoon I love these chickies, they look almost as excited about the basket of jellybeans (YUM) as they are about this hat! I think the shaped sequins are a really cool and unique choice, and the splashy fern leaf gives it such a dramatic flair!! I can't imagine how much glue you must have used to keep all of these little bobbles on! But I gotta ask - what dress is that? It looks AMAZING! I also love your second hat, the little blue chick on top and the mini fern are so cute!! It's a perfect mommy-baby hat set! <3

@ActionHank I can't believe you gave ALL of the ponies hats, every time I look at this photo I find a new pony with a hat peeking out at me! I'm sure Princess Celestia was flattered to have such a beautiful hat to wear, and I think your setup with the whole town is super cute! It looks like your own personal Easter Parade!!

@dragonlady we might have been on the same wavelength, because I was also thinking about sugar egg scenes! It's so cute and so classically springy, it looks fabulous as a hat! I also like the different grades of yarn for the rabbit vs the hat, and the tiny basket with an easter egg!! So precious and smol!!

@strawberrypony32 I love the idea for the chocolate bunny hat!!! The tiny neck ribbon just sends it over the top for me, too cute to breathe!! And it's even teeny-tinier for a baby hat?! I'm dead! Of cute!! I also really liked your clear bonnet, I think it's just so clever and minimalist, it really stands out!! The butterfly perched on top - the perfect touch!

@AzaleaArt I love the shape of your hat, it's got incredible movement! Is this clay? Because I love how swoopy it is, and the little edged border detail is super cute too! And of course, GLITTER!! Love glitter!! I love that you used Fluttershy, and surrounded her with little bunny friends - it's so on brand!

11 is me lol

@Cactusflower I feel like this is the hat we'd be most likely to see in the G1 episode for the 'Dressed Like a Dream' parade - the shape is so classically pony, and the flowers are so elegant! I could see her sporting this with a flower-print dress of some kind! Plus, the color is so great on Bonnie Bonnets, great match and great job!!

@ZeldaTheSwordsman I really like the different elements of this, and when you said this was painted cardstock, I never would have guessed! I would have guessed some kind of craft foam! The color and feather gives me Robin Hood vibes, but the extra ribbons make it more glam and pony! It's very nice, and I'm impressed that you were able to keep it on her head with ear holes alone! I basically had to cram mine on with tightly-tied ribbon lest it fall over, LOL!

It took me a couple days to respond, but thank you to everyone for your kind words about my hat!! <3 I've done a few pony-related frosting attempts in the past, but I've never made an actual "cake" with it, much less a cake hat! Pinkie was kind of a sudden inspiration, because I remembered the odd pose this mini Pinkie came in, and it reminded me of this:
bite-missing-unicorn-cake-whipped-bakeshop-scaled-1024x683.jpg

Pinkie Pie is roughly Ponyville sized, but she came from the 'Hershey's Treasure Surprise' candy, in case you're looking for one for yourself!

Thank you to @Gingerbread for the super fun contest as always, I love these hat contests so much! They're all so much fun, and I love seeing the virtual parade of ponies in their spring finery at the end! <3
