This is so incredibly sweet of you, Jewel! :greenheart:

I just finished carving pumpkins with one of my friends earlier this evening, so my timing could not have been more perfect! I did a poll asking MLPTP members whose cutie mark I should carve onto my pumpkin, and Abra-ca-dabra’s won. She’s currently out with Pumpkin Tart looking for the perfect Halloween costume, (AKA I didn’t bring her to my parents’ house ) so October Dreams is filling in for her. Carving pumpkins is 100% my favorite autumn activity—I never miss out on it during Halloween time! :pumpkin:

October and Halloween is my all-time favorite time of the year. I don’t have a house or yard, but I did decorate my dorm room! I shared some of the photos on my “Halloween Excitement” thread. Everything was all ready for Halloween in early September.

I currently don’t have a plan to dress up, but that might change. If I do, I think I’ll dress up as a scarecrow.

Fortunately, I have seen some leaves start to fall from the trees! Not a lot, but it still makes me happy to see.

I’ve never baked sweet treats for autumn before. I usually just decorate cookies. Maybe that will change this year!

I LOVE Spirt Halloween! I’ve already been once this year and only bought some spooky tea light candles to decorate my dorm with. I might have to go back for that scarecrow costume! :winkpony:

my favorite part about autumn is when the leaves start to change Autumn is my favorite time of the year my birthday is in November so The Fall season is always my favorite but we also decorate with orange and purple lights

The falling leaves changing to beautiful shades of orange, yellow red. Once all the trees have turned you stand in a forest the color of sunsets.

I also am a huge fan of Halloween. I still love going trick or treating. For the last several years I’ve gone as Springtrap (Won’t post a pic here because there’s uh… “ketchup” effects that might be too inappropriate for this website lol), All the kids love it but I feel like I need to get a new costume because I can make fursuits much better now, he was my first ever one and has many flaws I would change now. However the last few years I feel like Halloween has been… Less fun :( Maybe it’s just my area, but ever since covid there are way way less kids trick or treating (I think we only got 30 kids last year ) and also many of the kids who do trick or treat are too young to know how to really do it…. Ring the doorbell and don’t even know the magic words “Trick or treat!” Not that I blame them, it’s not their fault. So I have made a resolve this year to make our house the coolest house on the block and to make halloween exciting again. I’m gonna set up a table in the front yard with hot apple cider, give out the best treats (if there are any older kids like teenagers I’d love to give them king sized candy bars to encourage them to trick or treat no matter how old they get XD ). Try my best to make the decorations fun with my limited budget, play fun music and watch spooky movies, ect. Springtrap will be much cooler being a spooky presence lurking in his yard outside to hand out candy than he is just sitting inside waiting for the doorbell to ring

I hope 2 images is ok! Was worried the ponies weren't too visible in the larger shot

Fall season is a numerous amount of things to me, I guess that's why there's a good amount of different things in the pictures!
I always decorated with my mother, heck a lot of the decor I use around Halloween was the exact same decor we used all those years ago! A bit worn and torn, but still the same decorations.

I love the fall colors around this time, as well as all the fun that goes with it. Like dressing up, handing out candy, and having good fun.

I decorate mostly indoors, but I have a skeleton that's about 5ft that I like to move around each year. First year I had it, it was set up to look like it was trying to climb into one of my windows from outside! :lolpony:
Last year I made it lay in the flowerbeds to be as if someone got reclaimed by the garden. Unsure where the next spot this year will be...

I don't really work on a costume, have been going as one thing for a good number of years, but I try to add/modify it sometimes. It's a plague doctor (You can see my hat and mask in the back)

The leaves haven't started to change just yet here, but it'll probably hit soon

Baking hasn't been on my mind lately but I could probably make some treats! I've got so many cookbooks it's silly. Surely I'll find something not too taxing on me physically ^^;;

I've not gone to Spirit Halloween yet! But I do like to go, so I probably will whenever I have the chance to get transportation to one.

Good luck, everyone!! Life is busy just now, I'm going to skip doing a photo shoot this year. But I can't wait to see all the photos! The ones so far are lovely! :redleaf::orangeleaf::pumpkin::orangeleaf::redleaf:

My Daisy Jo as a little mushroom witch!

Leaves are starting to fall in all kinds of colors, but the trees are still mostly green where I am! My favorite part about the season shift is getting to witness how Mother Nature molts, changes, and starts a new life for the colder months. Things like mushrooms popping up in our yard definitely bring attention to that! It can be hard for me to let go of the summer and welcome new change as an autistic person, but taking it slow and indulging in seasonal comfort media help ease me in. :ponylove:
Definitely decorating indoors is something I look forward to this year! I finally moved all the decorations from my old house to new last Christmas, so it’s the first year I’m getting to go all out! Hoping everyone enjoys the comforting and warm vibes this season.
Happy Harvest everypony! :CJ:

I don’t have anything too crazy to show off this year but I can say that I love decorating for Halloween. I don’t own many of my own decorations just yet but one day I’ll have the perfect decorations and set up. I also love handing out candy to trick-or-treaters! It’s so cute when they get excited for candy, it reminds me of how exciting Halloween was when I was their age.

Wow, Jewel, what a fun surprise!!!

I love EVERYTHING about Fall, but especially the sweet, spicy smell of the leaves as they fall and begin to decompose. Fall is a season for long walks, watching the chipmunks and squirrels (tree rats!) hustle and bustle with their serious acorn business.

Back in my twenties in Pennsylvania, my friends and I rented a large house with a huge fire pit in the back yard, and we would throw the biggest Halloween party in town! We would go ALL OUT with decorations and costumes, covering the floor in layers of transparent tarps with fake blood oozing between them. I would even put red dye in the back of the toilet so it looked like blood when you flushed! I have so many photos and fun memories of those times.

When I lived in Toledo in my early thirties, we were in a neighborhood with a lot of kids. I would decorate the yard with hundreds of fake rats, and bring my real rats to the door to hand out candy and get pets from the neighborhood kids. It was a lot calmer, but also wonderful.

Now we live in Columbus while my fella is in Engineering school. He is usually too busy with school around that time of year to do anything special, and we live in the University district so there are no children around. But I enjoy watching the college kids coming and going from their own Halloween parties, and I love decorating our little apartment. My decorations are a lot classier now, all vintage style and eclectic, plus I have a fun miniature Spooky Town. I don't have any big Halloween traditions here, but I do still take the day off every year so I can stay home and eat treats and watch scary movies (a Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream are my absolute favorites and I wait all month to watch them Halloween night!) This year in preparation, I am watching every episode of Tales from the Crypt, as well!

Hi everypony! :satisfied:

Although it's not really celebrated in my country, I simply adore the Halloween. We don't have much in the decor department (and no Spirit Halloween stores ), but I make my own decorations and bake a pumpkin pie every year. I hope everyone has a magical spooky season, and good luck to everyone!
