The Vinny and Chloe' Chronicles Cats in Mischief Update TodAy

100_3253.jpg
Well, its happened again and this time its heartbreaking to say the very least. I had this beautiful piece my mother made for me that was extremely important to me. I treasured it greatly. It was safely tucked away where the cats couldn't get to it, but Chloe' in her nasty, Godzilla like behavior found a way to it. Pulled it out and dumped it over. Its destroyed. After losing my mind, calling mom and losing my mind again I still don't feel any better. My mother doesn't paint anymore and this can't be replaced. She suggested I glue it back and says she will give me something else she made. It will not be the same, but I appreciate her trying to make me feel better. She said if I take the pieces over to her house she will try to make something new out of it. I am so upset. That cat! Vinny was not involved this was all Chloe'. She is a stinky face pooh cat! This was protected and she still found a way to it.

I also want to add that Chloe' is now learning how to open closed doors.

Can I yell please?

Oh no. *gives Tula a megaphone and covers ears* Go wild now.

That looked like a gorgeous piece. I'm so sorry Tula

Snifffffffffffff it was a gorgeous piece. It had so much meaning for me as far as memories of a dear friend, a dolphin encounter and a trip. It was a memorial type piece. My friend has been gone a few years now. Chloe' seems to destroy only the things I love so deeply. I will never understand how she knows. Vinny has been sitting next to me off and on all day. I think he knows I am heart broken. He usually spends his whole day with Chloe'. Not today.

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry. That piece was so beautiful. I will never understand a cat's need to destroy things. A thought just hit me--maybe she does this to get attention? I know Vinny is your fave kitty and I can certainly understand why, but kitties can be like naughty toddlers, if you don't give them enough attention they will figure out a way to get ANY kind of attention. Kitties are smarter than most people realize.

Chloe hates attention. She is not interested in a lot of human interaction at all. I try to spend time with her, my husband tries. She isn't interested. She is a calico and the vet says they are the least affectionate of cats. She will talk to us and we talk to her. We play with her, but as far as accepting affection she is a no go on that one. She has been this way since the day we brought her home. I knew she was going to be this way and warned my husband she may not be the best choice of cats. He wanted her anyway. I picked Vinny and he is a love bug. Chloe loves him greatly. We know she loves us because of certain things she does. Like once when I was very sick she sat next to me on the bed the whole day. That is rare for her. I have had cats all my life. Chloe' is a first for me. She is extremely intelligent and interested in things. Her curiosity is what gets us in trouble. I also just have so much stuff and a tiny house. I have all sorts of cat toys, climbing trees, other climbing hideaways and all sorts of fun things for her to do. Still she sometimes just crosses the line.

Oh no tula :( sorry to hear about your lovely dolphin piece :(. Cats can be so sneaky... that is why I like dogs more ;) But well that is curious cats nature to do the sneaky things and explore more.
I hope your mom can make the pieces back together or something :). Even thought the piece isn't the same you still got your memories and that is what is most important.

Chloe sounds so much like Magic. I wanted her to be my cuddlebug, instead she torments her mommy dog Pinkie (who she adores, but is far too rough on for a 15 year old poochie), tears through the house like she is possessed and is constantly trying to destroy everything in her path. She's a one cat demolition machine.

Even if your mom can't completely restore the piece, I do hope you keep it. It looks lovely, and with some glue and a touch up I bet it will be beautiful again!

When I have something ceramic break, I use the pieces in a mosaic. I have the bits to remember the larger piece then.

Dad told me last night he wanted to work on it. So, I guess I will take it to them. He has been repairing my broken items since he married my mom when I was 10.

Dads are really good at fixing broken things. Broken ceramics, broken cars, broken hearts...

Apparently there is no place off limits for a bed. I am washing stored blankets this morning. Blankets just get stinky when they sit in a plastic bag for 10 years. I take all the blankets out of the bag and put them in the washer. I come back to find this. She is so happy in there I think I will just leave her alone until she is done snoozing in her plastic bed. Don't worry its all un-zipped. Cats are so crazy.

Oh now its a game. What fun. Until Vinny decided to puncture the bag and ruin it. Now I have a bag for blankets full of tiny teeth holes. Why oh why can't I learn?

"Hey let me in will you. She forgot about me. Its only like 105 out here." Vinny just waits for Maki to come inside every single time he needs to go out there. What a loyal companion. Am I alone in my desire to capture pets doing funny or cute things? I just feel the need to grab a photo all the time. If I had kids they would hate me. "Wait I need a photo."

Poor Maki! And LOL at Chloe sleeping in a plastic bag. Cats are crazy :p Dogs are crazy, but cats?! lol

Vinny's fur looks so soft and silky!

It really is. He is the softest cat I have ever had. When you pet him its like Heaven. If the sun hits him just right you see this silver like pixie dust on his tail and the tops of all 4 paws. Its like he shines. lol Vinny also has the cutest white hair tuff under his front paw. Gotta love him!!

My Magical Mouth has been on crack lately, hurling through the house like a comet, tormenting her mama dog Pinky Lee and causing general mayhem. First I thought maybe it's the full moon making her ape, but then I found a small torn envelope tucked into her carrier. It was addressed to Magic from a business in Houston called Vinny's 4 Step to Chaos Classes.

Should I be worried?

See, now, if that were my Ivory, he might have a ball sleeping in the plastic bag but eventually the naughty boy would pee on it. Tanger, no problem, Autumn, also no problem. Ivory makes sure I can't leave any clothes or blankets on the floor.

Pinkie does that sometimes on my rugs. I have a beautiful collection of native made saddle blankets that i did use as rugs. Then suddenly Pinkie decided she might need to pee on them. All of them. All through the house. I tried washing them and putting them back, but Pinkie is 15 and determined. I had to put them all up. I'll never know why it became imperative for that dog to tinkle up all my rugs.
