The Vinny and Chloe' Chronicles Cats in Mischief Update TodAy

Hawks do love opportunity meals, and small dogs are just that. We've had calls wanting us to remove birds of prey and I've had to explain: this is their territory. The dog owners must be vigilant and protect their pets. We had one lady threaten to shoot a hawk and I told her I would not hesitate to report her to the game warden. I love pets too, but birds of prey are protected here and they have carte blanche to hunt as they may.

I don't understand people who move to the country then get angry over the animals who live here.

@evilbunnyfoofoo isn't it against the law to shoot them? I thought I read that somewhere. Its like you are not allowed by law to poison a squirrel either you can only relocate them with a humane trap. Yea you are not even allowed to have their feathers. (not the squirrels but the hawks..bad grammar) They are a protected species.

Seriously, people need to get a grip. You don't go shootin the animals just because you are afraid of them. Now if a bear comes after me thats a different story. Chances are even if I shoot it, I aint gonna make it anyway. I have never shot a gun so this is my reasoning. I most likely will shoot myself in my effort to kill the bear. ROFLOL

It's absolutely against the law and boy, I let her know it. I understand sometimes animals can be nuisances and have to be 'taken care of' like coyotes, but not protected birds! Then she got crappy and told me she'd do what she wanted on her property and no one could stop her. I told her build a **** lab and tell the sheriff that while he hauls your butt to jail! :D

She ended up going back to the city in three months. Hah! See ya later, city slicker!

I am a bad person.

ROFLOL, yea she wasn't meant for the country at all. I will never forget my dad's farmhouse in Temple. We would spend the weekends there. There was a cabin in the middle of the cotton field. This property dated way back. Well, I decided I wanted to make a playhouse out of said cabin in the cotton field. So, I got my cleaning supplies and headed out to the cabin. I worked really hard and cleared one side of the cabin. When I got to the side that had this old fashioned kitchen stove in it I met a monster. Yep and little black and white fuzzy, stinky skunk. I ran out of there so fast and ask dad to get rid of the skunk and he said, "nope, the skunk is in there and he will stay in there forever. I am not going in there after a skunk." Sigh..no cool playhouse. I was about 10 and my little home away from home idea was just plain sunk over a nasty skunk.

Oh joy of all joys thanks so much Chloe'. Argh
What is it about my Butterfly Island? She just won't leave it alone. There were parts slung all the way into the bathroom. That Darn Cat! I am just about ready to put this sucker in storage. Its my favorite G3 playset due to its colors and if she breaks it, she will be in big time kitty trouble.

Cheeky little monkey. My kits have certain things they just can't help but mess with, Fox loves rubbing his face on Ponies I'm working on to mark them as his (Ponies out mean I'll be still long enough for a snuggle nap) Leo is into anything woolen to steal. I have several big warm scarves I knitted when I gaving up smoking that went missing last winter. We found them when Leo walked through our lounge one evening towing a 5 foot scarf. He had made a wooly nest behind the sofa.
:lolpony:

I think Chloe probably likes the curving bits that swing Baby Honolooloo around. There are cat toys out there made similarly. Or maybe she knows it's your favorite and like creating chaos. It could be that too, lol. Naughty little girl. You might want to put Butterfly Island away until Chloe gets a little older, she seems bound and determined to dismantle it at every opportunity. The only other thing I could suggest would be to see if she dislikes the smell of oranges. Most cats dislike citrus scents. If you get some orange essential oil and put it around the playset that might dissuade the sneak.

The kitty litter is to guard against boob humidity?
Oh my gosh I am dying over here. You are too funny. Yesterday, I accidentally left the drawer open to my vanity. Chloe' dug through it and pulled everything she didn't want out and neatly set it on the vanity. (Amazing) Then waaaallaaaaa she finds a make up brush. Yep she wanted that and I heard her throwing it in the hallway. She has her own make up brush, so this is my fault. I should not have allowed her to have one. Now all of them in the house are fair game for a toy. I picked it up and told her to go get her own blushie brush. This morning I found her blushie brush in the hallway. If that doesn't give you chills I don't know what will. That cat is too darn smart. I looked for hers and couldn't find it. She found it. Deee Dee Deeee Dee Twilight Zone music inserted here.

I've said for years that animals are smarter than we humans like to give them credit for. Yes, cats do understand what you say to a certain degree. Chloe just recognized the word for her toy and got it because your blusher made her want to play with one again. Some kitties are smarter than others. My Tanger is definitely smarter than my Ivory. Not that Ivory is dumb, Tanger is just smarter. Autumn is also smart. Female kitties tend to be quite smart in general.

I had a cat long ago named Natasha Nosy Noodle. She was smart as could be. She would open the cabinet and knock out a can of cat food when she decided she was to be fed. She also helped herself to the dry food constantly until she was fat. To cut back on her food, my husband poured the catfood into a big plastic tub in front of her and told her, "Get past that." Tasha walked around the tub, several times, looked under it at the handles then reached under, fiddled with it a moment and flipped it open! She flicked her tail at him haughtily and strutted off.

I also had a cat named Tuxedo Junction who not only figured out how to crawl up and open my mother's front door (from the outside!), she was caught several times times teaching the other cats how to do so as well. Mom had to keep the door locked to keep it shut.

Then you have my cat Clementine Melvin and he is so dumb I don't know how he keeps breathing.

Well, husband comes in to the room last night with nice, bloody scratches on his chest. He proceeds to tell me that he was soaking his aching back in the tub. Chloe' was sitting on the edge. Vinny comes up and purposefully pushes Chloe' in the water. Chloe' lands on DH. Vinny jumps up and bats Chloe'. Chloe' is all excited a game has begun and leaps after Vinny. This is when my DH's chest became a road map of horror. He had a few choice words about what he calls, "my cat" and so on. ROFLOL
Then the kitties are sleeping nicely on the bed as if they have done nothing naughty. I go upstairs and find they have opened one of my packed toy containers and pulled out only the doll shoes and left everything else in the container. Each doll shoe was on the floor lined up perfectly with the container. If it were not for the fact I know my cat is capable of such neat nautiness, I would consider a ghost. This had Chloe' written all over it.
So, The day at Tulagirl's house has begun. What do we have in store? Stay tuned I am sure I will have a photo by nightfall.

Ouch, by the way, for your poor husband. I currently have a 3 inch long scratch on my calf and I have no idea how I got it. I know it happened while I was asleep, but I don't know which cat did it or how it happened. My guess is that one of my kitties was crawling over my legs at night and I started to move so they dug in. Both my boys have all their claws, Autumn has her rear. Autumn would have had all her claws if I had the choice, but she came to me front-declawed.

All my seed beeds spilled all over the couch, floor, rug and living room floor. They bouncity bounced, rolled and rolled everywhere. I wish I could blame it on the cats, but sadly it was my fault. ROFLOL I hit the the tub with my elbow while make a pony necklace and boom they went everywhere. It just hasn't been my day. Lightning hit my trees during a bad storm. It's always my yard. Now the beads. I am still seeing them even after vacuuming. ARGH

You will see them for a million years. You never never, ever, ever get them all. Seed beads breed. A LOT.

Once my sissy dropped a piece of in one of the bead boxes. How she wept. I used a colander to save as many as I could, but the seed beads! Ugh. I gave up and let 'em go down the drain!

Yes they are still bouncing around. I can hear them moving so they must be embedded in the couch and when I sit down they are flying off. Oh brother, at least they are tiny so if the dog eats it, it won't hurt him.
