Hi @MegaLeafeon! There are a number of criteria that we consider, but there is no formal list or way to "apply" to be a mod. In this particular case, several of us happened to suggest @Sassarazzmadazzles, and after briefly discussing it, we asked if she would be interested.

It's rare that we add a new mod, since most of us have been around since the dawn of pony time, so to speak ;) If there is ever a need for more roles or support from the community, it will be announced at that time. <3

Something everyone in the community can always do is to make use of the "Report" button for any content that goes against our rules, or message a moderator directly if they see something that requires their attention. ;)

Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to giving me such an informative, and helpful, answer! You have thoroughly scratched my curiosity itch! :)

And I will definitely make sure to report any suspicious, or not allowed, behaviour commander Jewel! (enthusiastically salutes, and then skips away) lol
