What video games are you playing?

What's that little sheep looking thing?
That's a woolie! They are the level 1 base monster and the official mascot for the rune factory series!
They also double as sheep that can live on your farm, produce wool, you can ride them, and they can even join your party to fight alongside you in combat!

Back to your original question the sheep is Micha the protagonist of rune factory 3, A boy with amnesia, he has the unique ability to transform into a woolie at will.
In woolie form he can communicate with the other monsters in the game!

I know nothing about the game other than what you said and that it exists, and as such I must ask do all the monsters in game look like farm animals and what kind of game is it because I have no idea.

Also that thing looks to small to ride, it looks like it would break if a person rode it.

(Takes a huge excited breath) I'm so glad you asked!
You've come to the right place!!!

Ok first off you have your basic low level monsters you're woolie is your sheep as explained before, but there are also buffamoo the "cow" monster that produces milk,

the cluckcoo "chicken" that produces eggs

But other monsters can be tamed as well such as goblins, dragons, wolves, gollems, mushrooms, grim reapers, ghosts, flame demons, elemental fairies, catgirls, mages, squirrels, living apple, and even pineapple monsters, and more! That's just off of the top of my head!

Any boss monster you meet can be tamed and be added to your party! and not to mention the fact that you can ride 90% of them except fairies chickens and some other really small monsters!
All you need is a monster barn which is the same as a normal barn in other games!
20230401_104042.jpg

If you level up your friendship with your monster you can even make it water your plants while you're out dungeon crawling!

I feel this video is a good 9-minute summary of what you can do with your monsters in rune factory it also shows how absolutely ridiculous it looks to ride a woolie!

And that's just one facet of the gameplay! There's also cooking, weapon crafting, armor crafting, medicine/healing potion crafting, dungeon crawling, 6 villagers of either gender to romance, get married too and have a child with that can also join you in combat not to mention that almost all villagers can join your party and fight alongside you on your many adventures provided you are a good friend with them!
Oh yeah don't forget it's a farming game as well!

I think the best part about this series is that it's so simple anyone can pick it up and play it and at the same time can be so complicated and nuance that you can spend hours learning about the various different facets of everything mentioned above!!!
Crafting seems so simple on the surface but look a little closer and you'll find buffs, stat increases, special effects to add to anything you make, and it's got an amazing 3 ark story mode!! It's the perfect game in my opinion!

I just finished Star wars knights of the old republic and now I'm playing the second one

Im struggling if I'm gonna go dark side or light side, I was dark for the first game and it was fun and the powers are really good but I felt horrible for a lot of the decisions I had to make :(

Oh yeah! Me and my siblings played the Xbox original version of that game! (on xbox360 because it was backward compatible)
It was a lot of fun!

As a creative I feel like I just bounce between my epic underwear build in Minecraft and playing Stardew Valley (Or as we joke, "Chores Simulator") with my tribe. I'm a far cry and fallout, skyrim fan as well but I always seem to gravitate to the creative games over the fighty ones.
I've been working on my current world for over a year now, all by myself in creative mode.

Who's up for some yoga!?

I love Minecraft, not great at building, I love digging underground and hunting for treasure :3

I love that everyone can play how they like to play in those games. As an interior designer I find myself making spaces in mc just to decorate and not have a client or budget, or gravity out science holding me back!
Oh the creative freedom!

Oh I've been itching to play stardew for a while now though my ps4 copy does not have a multiplayer mode like the switch I want to play co-op!
I'd have to buy not one but two copies of the game! A game I already have! I can't justify it!

We're such big gaming enthusiasts we've introduced the "floating" weekend TV for when we're both at home. I'm on the big screen, that's part of my sunken city, the Volcano Complex and Sunken Ship! Now leasing! Lol

Are you a James Bond villain that just needs better living options? Perhaps I could interest you in your own Volcano lair! Quad deck pool anyone?

That's sad! I'm so sorry, it didn't get released with the updates? I'm playing it on PS4 too and it was the last to get updates but we can finally play on one console, split screen.

Oh I didn't know it did split screen now that's awesome!
And what's the other game being played it looks familiar?

Is that minecraft modded or has it really changed that much since I last played it.

Dang that's more complex than I thought it was going to be, also didn't think that the power of friendship would be so strong that you could befriend everything.

I know right! It really is an amazing game series!
The best part is that rune factory 4 is on Switch, Xbox, ps4, and steam! All for around 25$ so anyone can get their hands on a copy and enjoy this game on their preferred console!

And that is a flare mage! (the in game, sprites are not as impressive as the official artwork lol) he can cast fireballs at the enemy from afar!
