2012 Pony Resolutions

What are your pony collecting resolutions for 2012. What ponies are you going to get? What are you going to resist buying?


Mine:
-Get a UK exclusive from my wishlist.
-Don't buy any more G4's.
-Complete the TAF set.
-Get all G1 Rainbow ponies. (7 to go: 2 in Series 1 & 5 in Series 2.)
-Obtain Ice Crystal.
-Get Up, Up, & Away and Sugarberry rehaired.


That's it!

I have to admit... I'm seriously considering starting a white pony army. LMAO Me and my love of white ponies. I just can't help it. I've been thinking about culling my herd when I get our renovations done and can finally pull them all out of storage. But sticking to a theme or just certain sets would allow me to keep adding without the guilt. ;)
 
Hmmm . . .

~ Get Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash

~ Get another G1 (I only own 1!)

~ Finish my Fellowship of the Ring customs

~ Make a custom of Sunrise Blush
 
I think I'm gonna be downsizing my collection. :(

I may be moving next year and cannot imagine moving with my whole collection, so I think I'm going to need to downsize... a lot.

In the meantime, I'm going to need to resist buying more.
 
-Stop buying pink ponies
-Start doing the customs I've been planning for months
-actually FINISH those customs as well as the other half done ones I have.
 
- Obtain Fashion Style Twilight Sparkle
- Get the ponies I've found and cleaned up in the Selling forum or on eBay
- Try customizing
- Figure out an alternate way to get all of the ink out of the spectacular bait I got earlier this year

I like your resolutions!! :mrgreen: Those three would be 3 of mine as well!! LOL!! I always end up selling most of my pink ponies after a while because I'm not crazy about pink. And I have tons of ideas for customs I haven't started! I even have an entire sketch book full of ideas but I've only put a few of them in motion and most of them are half done. I think I have more fun sketching them, aparently! LOL!

My other resolutions would be to try to slim down my collection a little more. Now that they came out with the G4s, my collections been growing again and I'm running out of room. The other would be to get Ice Crystal also!
 
Big pony resolution of the year: Pony Room!!!!!

As soon as my sister in law moves out... my poor ponies need to come out of the basement, and the ones in the bedroom are starting to give Will nightmares ;P

Plus I want to add to my Firefly collection. Am actually watching stuff on e-bay at the moment :D
 
Finish some sets!

Finish all these customs!

Properly organize all these customizing supplies!
 
I've been thinking about selling off a lot of my G1s...

Also finishing customs for friends that requested them like two years ago -whistles nonchalantly-, more pony related crafts, and I'm seriously considering trying to host a meet in the summer... still have to run that idea by my dad though >.<
 
  • Get my first G1
  • Get my first G2
  • Get the Royal Castle Friends playset (BRUSHABLE CELESTIA AHHH)
  • Keep up on all single G4 ponies that come out in 2012
  • Finally brush the hair of every single pony in my collection, and curl or style it
  • Get G4 Scootaloo
  • Get Ploomette
And thats about it. :)
 
- Go on another trip to California ang go pony-hunting there, preferably with my amazing pony friend Peppermint Truly

- Continue to buy most of my ponies from car boot sales and charity shops (more fun than buying them new, anyway)

- Save up some money for the UK PonyCon, so I can get a few nice ponies there

- Participate in a few swaps because they're great fun
 
number one is going to be getting my collection photographed and cataloged, and then of course I can buy some new ponies after that :)
 
Great idea for a post!!! I love stuff like this.

Ok, I've been pretty busy with my life lately and have hardly had a chance to check online here, much less look at or think about my ponies.

That being said, I don't want to sell them off. However, I do have a few tubs of ponies that are duplicates or ones I just don't want anymore that I seriously need to get rid of so I can have more space in my house.

So, my 2012 MLP Resolutions are:

1. Style, Photograph, and Sell duplicates
2. Keep a few baits so I can practice customizing when I get time
3. For the remainder of my collection: dust, reorganize, and photograph for my inventory
4. Find the rest of the G4s I need!!

I may think of some more later- the main one is selling off the duplicates. I wish I could go to one of the big meets to sell, but I'm not sure I could swing that this year.
 
Finish my g1 loose wish list! Must be done this year!

Buy some more mib and find some cool merchandise!

I'd totally love a second release dream castle this year too..... But I've got to wait and that will happen when it happens!
