Once I do some housework, it's off to do some pony "Inventory"!
It's been a good 6-9 months since I've had the whole collection out at once.
So today I'd like to find out just how many of the following I have:

Unis
Pegs
Earth
Boys (including non-traditional ones, like Medley, who's a boy in my herd)
All ponies by color
All ponies by pose
Babies
Newborns
Customs
Grand Total!

Alright, I better get to work!
 
Good luck! I think I'll do my inventory when I get moved into my new house. I'm dreading packing up the toy room. :(
 
Yep I'm doing something similar except I am sorting out the few ponies I'm keeping and organizing the rest for sale. It's a massive task which I need to go start :)
 
I am just staring at all the new ones that have arrived and wondering where to put them! :p

oh i'll be doing Minty and McPony inventory when i switch them back to their normal display places...should probably do a Glory inventory too while i'm at it. i'm scared to do everything while MN's around; he might "go godzilla" on them ^^;

I need to probabaly do it last time I had any sort of a count I think I had 40 odd ponies but I believe I've had a few additons since then (not counting fakies) so yeah I should probably get counting once my bedroom gets put back to rites.
 
Doing inventory is a task I hide from :icon_smile_lachuh:

Something I should do sometime soon though!
 
I've been busy since before Christams sorting out my spares and ponies that I don't really want anymore. I've already sold a few but there are more I've pulled off my shelves since and also some accessories in the spares box that need to be put up for sale/trade too. My New Years resolution was to see the bottom of the spares box and keep it empty . . . at least for awhile :p I also need to catch up photographing my collection.

I also started doing some display rearranging because I like to change things around from time to time and I'll need to make room for all my new arrivals that are on the way. Unfortunately I got all the Brush N Grows down to move them to another shelf and got a bit side tracked as I decided they'd look nicer on display with something done to to their hair so now a few of them have lovely plaits through their hair held with their barrettes but I haven't finished organising my shelves :icon_smile_lachuh: An inventory would be a great idea for me since I've bought/sold/traded a fair bit lately to find out exactly howe many ponies I have.
 
Lol, Tuney. That is one thorough inventory! Do you want to come to my house and sort through my collection too?

I'm actually working through my G3s over the holidays. I never realized I had so many of them!
 
After digging through 10 boxes in the closet, looking for my G3 Birthflower ponies last night, I decided to write the ponies that are in the box on the outisde of the box.

It took about an hour. Plus, now I will know where a specific pony is.

I need to do the same to my ponies in the storage tubs.

Yes, I am one of those people who has 98% of her ponies stored away, with only a few out in the open. To me, they are a fun investment. And a slight obsession. :seestars:
 
oooh no thats still a task I'm avoiding! I try to keep my inventory updated (sorta -lol! :p ) but I cant be that thorough tuneful!... besides I keep getting new arrivals!
 
You're funny! I did my "count" this summer, came up with about 900 (it's written down here somewhere). But I needed the whole sidewalk to do that... there's simply not enough room in the disaster area that was once Ponyland, and there's not enough gumption in the girl that was once Aurora.
I tried to figure out my g3's, then realized they're all mixed in with the others, and honestly, I just don't have it in me! I want to, but not if it's going to be work! Eeek!
(But I'm liking the idea of having a few of them on display at a time- the BnG sets seem like a fun place to start!)
 
Nice work. Inventory is hard.

I need to do one desparately but never get around to it.
 
I suppose its a good idea to find out exactly who I have and dont have.
And to make a list of all the G3's that have got to GO... I dont have room for all of them and am only gonna keep the one si really like:seestars:
 
I really should take inventory. I don't have as many as many of you here do ( just under 300, I think ), but I think it's good to know WHAT you have. Might also be good to keep track of for insurance purposes, considering how much money and time DOES go into our own individual collections.

I DID clean a section of ponies about a week or so ago, though. My main pony shelves. Four shelves. Took about 6 hours to do it, considering that EVERY pony was covered in a thin layer of dust, as were the shelves. Yeah, haven't had time to REALLY clean in here lately because of art work overload, conventions, day job, the half job, and not being home enough. XP

Just have to get back to doing it. I think maybe tomorrow I'll take a few hours out of the day to clean the next section, which also includes my main art supply shelves.

*sigh* I wish I had the guts to do it as well! :p I've tried, many times - I just end up getting confuzzled, grab a pony and style its hair, LOL.

I usually divide mine up in G1, G2, G3, customs (easy one, since I only have one I didn't make myself, LOL), Nirvanas, MOCs..

I should do a really thorough count, though, keep a list and then update it when I get new ponies. Anyone want to help me? LOL :)

(omg! about 50 more than last time, if I recall correctly. Many of them being nirvanas, that's why my bank account have been so low, LOL!)

I have a few ponies that still needs to be cleaned, who have not been counted. I did count a few doubles, who I intend to keep in my collection (like barnacle, who is displayed two places). Oh, and I have ponies on the way too..

I have recently done my count, but I really need to do inventory, as well as dust, take pictures of individuals and groups, and reorganize. As much as I love getting all my ponies out, it's a weekend affair, and I don't know if I'm up to it right now. I really wanted to do it over Christmas break.. this is my last chance. Shall I go for it?
