Whats the deal with them!

Do you collect back cards if so I wanna know what you like about them, and what makes you collect them?

Is it the art work? The got to have them all thing?
 
I only have 1 so far, but I'd like to get more. I like the stories about the ponies and the artwork on them. I also display it with the pony it goes to so it has that 80's look about it. I guess it's mostly sentimental for me. I couldn't have them as a kid so it's the closest I can come to having that "I just got a new My Little Pony" feeling.
 
I don't have any right now, but I would collect them if I could find the ones that went with the ponies I have. I have some vision of eventually lining them up with the backcard behind the pony with all it's accessories. I'm an accessory nut and the backcard is just another accessory.
 
i had a few, but they got tossed out of course. now i only have one CJ's. but some day i will have to start collecting them too :) i like the artwork/pictures that are on them, the stories, also i would say if i would like to completely complete a pony i would like to have the backcard too :)
 
I have A lot of of back cards... i forget how many i have now... i went through a spurt where that was ALL i wanted from collecting. The reason is that I LOVE the artwork, it's just so Lovely and magical.

I guess i never thought about collecting the backcards. I would much rather have a MOC or MIB pony. neither of which i have yet. i guess if you really like the art, and stories then it would be worth it.

I would like to have a few but really they aren't soooo "Gotta have them" for me.
I had a bunch of backcards I sold.. My non pony collecting friend said "You're sending her trash?..." Funny yes?..

They are low on my priorites though.. I'd rather have accessories and pamphlets and posters ^^
 
I like the G1 backcards for the nostalgia/art/stories, and I keep the G3 backcards to make up for tossing so many G1 backcards as a child. *sigh* I wish I had Cloud Puff's backcard especially, since I love that pony like nobody's business. It's not something I would hunt for, though.
 
I can't say I really collect backcards but I do have a few. This is an area I think i will concentrate on later in my collecting. I do love pamphlets though so you would think this will be up my alley as well!
 
I only voted no because I don't know where to get them and the ones I saw on EBAY were too expensive at the time. I think what makes them most interesting are not just the art but the small stories about the particular pony
 
Not actively, but I have a lot- my mom always saved when I was young so I still have those that go with my childhood ponies :)
 
I have kept every backcard of the G3's that I or my daughter have opened, along with every booklet and any small accessories that could get easily misplaced or sucked up the vaccuum cleaner get bagged and tagged and put in with them.
Why? It was the easiest way for me to easily reference who was who, and the info or story about them both my daughter and I like to reference, especially when playing. That was before I found all the info online, but now it is too hard to break the habit, so up they go!
 
What would be great is a sit were the back cards are scanned and you can read/print them... I'd love to devote a secotion on my up and coming website for that!
 
I don't collect backcards because i leave all my G3s MIB, but if I can get G1 Ponywear with a backcard i would keep that (I only have 1)
 
I used to have some of the backcards, but now I don't think I would start trying to track them down again. There are so many ponies and playsets that I want before I would think about collecting back cards.


When I had the backcards, I did like they each had a story about the pony. However, I remember thinking Coco Berry's story was strange because she goes to the refrigarator and makes a Midnight Snack. I guess I wondered what Coco Berry was doing with a refrigarator in her house.
 
Here's the deal for me: I don't necessarily go looking for them or haaave to have them, but if I find one, or if I get one in a lot or something, I'll definitely keep it, probably scan it digitally, and either store it safely or display it proudly! The art is the main thing for me. I really keep the G3 backcards too, but wouldn't care if I lost them. The G1 art really is gorgeous!
 
I liked keeping them as a child just so I could remember the names of my ponies, and the names of the one's I didn't have so I could ask Santa for them! :003: I keep them now for my daughter so she knows the names of the ponies that she has!
 
I have a few G1 and G2 backcards with my MIB ponies; I have all of my G3 ponies backcards so if I ever decide to sell them I will have the backcard and accessories^_^
 
They are nice, but I don't actively seek them out. I mean I obviously have them for the MIB/MOC ponies I have. I also save the ones that are sent to me with the ponies that I buy. I figure I might start later, but for now they are in a drawer. lol
