Blind Bags - price check, value, rare? how much did you pay for yours?

hey,

I haven't been around much for a long time, so I don't really know what's going on with these. What I've gathered is, Hasbro has released little PVC ponies about the size of ponyvilles in G4 molds and sold them in dark bags (like trading cards) in Germany. Correct?


Okay, so, what I'm wondering is how much are they worth? What is a good price to buy one at? What is the most common pony, and what is the hardest to find?


And for anyone with a full set, how much (if you don't mind me asking) did you pay for the set, including shipping from Germany?

Fluttershy is by far the "rarest". I haven't looked recently but at she was going for nearly $40 at one point -dies-

I've found a member in Germany who has been VERY kind reselling them to me at cost (2 Euros I think?) but if you're looking on ebay be prepared to spend money. The cheapest I've seen are $5 - $8 (plus shipping)

If you can find someone selling multiples I HIGHLY recommend it. Shipping from Germany is roughly $5 for ANYTHING under 250 grams (I think that's the cutoff...) so if you're just getting one it's kind of a nuisance, but you can get 4 - 6 for the same shipping cost =)

If you're curious about the characters Strawberry Reef has an excellent blurb about them G4 My Little Pony Reference - 2011 (Friendship is Magic) (They're towards the bottom so click 'Prize Ponies' and then scroll UP for a quick way to get to them)

::edit:: Hasbro was selling a limited amount of these at the Fair last weekend at $3 a bag.
 
Didn't someone find out from Hasbro that they'd be offered in stores in the US soon? It could have been speculation, but I suppose Hasbro didn't confirm it at the fair, did they?

I was kind of rooting for that option of waiting for them to show up on this side of the ocean from that email. I hope it's true!
 
Ummm... I honestly can't say if it was confirmed or not.

BUT! I can tell you that the packaging and the insert with pictures of all of them are both slightly different. I'm kicking myself for not keeping the bags I got from the Fair, but on the back of the U.S. packaging there are photos of everyone and the insert has been revamped and kind of makes the special sparkle ponies a minor note. There is also a barcode on the bags purchased at the Fair.

The German bags are cluttered with like 13 different languages saying the same thing on both the bag and the insert. I can't remember if they also have the photos on the outside (and I honestly don't feel like digging one out right now) but I can remember that there are slight (but obvious) design tweaks between the two.
 
yeah I just won one on ebay and it ended at $2.34 or something. I was excited.. and then I remembered it was $5 shipping also.. and that there are 24 of these..

oh jeez.
